I, for one, will be happy when the season starts.

Too much cabin fever right now amongst our supporters.

I was so excited and positive last year to see the boys run out Rd1 and we got spanked - pretty nervous this year and really hope that doesn't happen. Maybe a factor

Worps signed a 2 year deal last year. Does he qualify for free agency at the end of that? If he did then we would be a pre-agent at the end of this year. He would be perfect for the Cats as they need inside mids. He could be traded for something decent.

Easy joined the Talking Hawks podcast in the lead up to the practice match against the Dogs this weekend.

He would be perfect for the Cats as they need inside mids. He could be traded for something decent. We then wheel in HH/CMac/Croc/ Ward into the guts. We wouldn't miss a beat and the disposal on all of them is better than Worps.

What we gain in disposal we’d currently lose a lot more in clearances, ball winning and breaking clear of contests.

Worps won’t ever have the ball use of the tigers but they also haven’t shown the contested ability of Worps and might not ever show it.

Heard he’ll be there.

Hope Worps has a cracking year to shove ot in ya face, but I doubt it would change your opinion the following year. Same shizen different day

According to the footy dept of a recent premiership side, Reeves is in the top 5 players that they need to stop when facing Hawthorn.

Meek would be lucky to be in the top 10.

Dare I ask, which football department and who may the other top five players be?

Yeah each to their own, however it’s quite obvious from what the coaches say that Reeves is number 1 and Meek is 2. Meek is plugging away but he would need to improve his around the ground and forward craft a lot to force Reeves out.

Meek clearly isn’t pushing that hard for the #1 spot but that doesn’t mean Reeves is any world beater either. Who knows what they will become they both are mid 20s and have a lot of time as ruckmen develop much later. Right now it’s a lot of posts for what IMO is a contest equivalent of trying to be the best looking Daniher brother.

Reeves had a break out year last year.
Establishing himself as clear no.1 ruckman just based on his effectiveness as a tap ruck. He is ELITE in this aspect of the game.

The rest of his game need to improve. Everyone, including himself knows it.
Hopefully it does and he can continue to develope. He has shown glimpses of contested marking. So it's there we just need to see it more often.

As with all young players he may not come on. Improvement is not always linear. We need him to though. The others don't have what he does.

Reckon Reeves goes barely ok, would be soooooo nice to have a real dominant Ruck who wreck'd shit.

Even guys like Grundy cost $1m.

I'd MUCH rather have an above-average tap ruckman that can beat English & match Gawn, costing us $300k - $400k.
