AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
oh sorry, it's just a term I've heard many people refer to in intra club games like this. But it was quite obviously a best 22 team. In one team there was May, Lever, Gawn, Viney, Rivers, Petracca, Bowey, Pickett, JVR, Nibbler, Sparrow, McVee, Tomlinson, Schache, Laurie, Brayshaw, Spargo, Windsor, Langdon and Chandler.Great work again danster168, thanks a lot for the report.
Curious to know whether the ‘probables/possibles’ terminology is yours or is that what they were referred to by the coaching staff?
Yeh clearly an A and B team there until they changed it up by the sounds of it.oh sorry, it's just a term I've heard many people refer to in intra club games like this. The other team had Sestan, Howes, Jed Adams, Hore, Billings, Tholstrup, Woewodin, Kynan Brown, Farris-White and Casey players.
Dont mind the look of that, through the corridor with run and handball, as Danster said though in his training report that was the A team vs a VFL team so cant get too carried away, but at least it resembles something like I want to see
I dont really care, would rather see us doing this and ****ing it up than long slow kicks to packs down the boundary. Its about our #Method right now more than execution for me.Holy Christ. Rivers handball hits the ground then Bowey lobs one up in the air and we finish with a kick to Gawn in the pocket and that was the highlight they chose? That gets turned over in the corridor twice against a good side
I agree but we tore sides up in the pre season going through the corridor when the pressure wasn't there and stopped the second it was applied in season. Knowing us that was scenario training for if we are 6 goals down at 3qtr timeI dont really care, would rather see us doing this and ******* it up than long slow kicks to packs down the boundary. Yeah I'm not getting carried away, proof will be in the pudding when the real stuff starts.I agree but we tore sides up in the pre season going through the corridor when the pressure wasn't there and stopped the second it was applied in season. Unlike those sexy sexy GWS boysYeah I'm not getting carried away, proof will be in the pudding when the real stuff starts.

Like I said, id rather flame out watching us try and do this than bore me to death with what we have been doing. I agree we dont really have the cattle to pull it off as well as other teams but we can at least try and pick a side around moving the ball faster.Looked sloppy af to me. Intent was ok running it through the middle, but I'm just not convinced we have the right players to play the way most of us want us to. All the teams in and around us have better users of the ball running through the middle. It's fine to play this way, but how sustainable is it against quality opposition with the players we have? Having said that, Bowey, Spargo, Laurie, Riv, Koz were all involved and all are among our better users. They're all short people, but if a few of these blokes run through the middle, then we are a chance at pulling some of this stuff off on game day.
Didnt notice that but youre right hahaDid they just edit another Gawn set shot goal in from when he marked it? he clearly kicks it from not near the boundary at all.
Go Dees!
Guessing he kicked the original on the fullDidnt notice that but youre right haha
Hard to believe that when we kick to the pocket players tend to miss.Guessing he kicked the original on the full
But it looks cool when the 50th attempt sails through right?Hard to believe that when we kick to the pocket players tend to miss.

Weirdly, i always enjoyed playing against better competition. Not that I really ever played on a team that got flogged but I loved testing myself vs guys regarded as guns who were far better than me. Always had me locked in and motivated. Even if your team is losing you can try and win your own personal battle. As a ressie it sure is fun in preseason after running laps to get smacked around by a stacked senior team in match sim. Nothing raises my spirits higher
I don't really understand the alternative here, do we not play an intra club game just to protect the ressies feelings?Weirdly, i always enjoyed playing against better competition. Yeah I wouldnt really give a ****, use it as a chance to show the coach youre better than what he thinks you are. I think Kynan Brown has this sort of attitude.I don't really understand the alternative here, do we not play an intra club game just to protect the ressies feelings?
Exactly. I'd make it my mission to beat the guy I'm playing on and show I'm worth a spot.Yeah I wouldnt really give a *, use it as a chance to show the coach youre better than what he thinks you are. I think Kynan Brown has this sort of attitude.
Nothing wrong with a bit of intra club niggle as a younger kid or a reserves player to show you wont be a push over, if youre a backman or mid and line up on someone good do your best to make their game miserable. If a scuffle breaks out so be it.Exactly. I'd make it my mission to beat the guy I'm playing on and show I'm worth a spot.
Especially our piss weak team, I'd go over and start chatting shit to trac all day. Apparently a sledge about his cooking gets to himNothing wrong with a bit of intra club niggle as a younger kid or a reserves player to show you wont be a push over, if youre a backman or mid and line up on someone good do your best to make their game miserable.
