Melbourne made a point of the
Wingers holding their width. There was an article on it last year and it was quite interesting how much Langdon and Hunter were on tram tracks up and down the wing.
From the looks and sounds of it we’re going to mix things up a bit through the middle. Windsor is suited to that with his mine breaking speed and movement. Whether he can impact sufficiently early on I don’t know. But can see him playing early on. Especially with Hunter possibly missing early on.
Yeh I thought it worked really well in the first 2/3 of the season having Hunter spread things out, rather than just relying on Langdon.

If Windsor turns out to be a quality player though, I’d far prefer to use him in the midfield brigade or even off half back.

Wing these days needs a marking target or someone who can run line a Kenyan.. a high quality player should go through the middle I reckon.

Yeah there’s a fair chance he’s going to have a crack in the middle. But can see him being a wing to start with. But probably different to Langdon and Hunter. Might work through the middle of the ground more.

Lord Nev Logan Morris kicked 5 in the Brisbane intra club and is blitzing it in his first pre-season. Fair to say he would've really suited our list instead of throwing away pick 27 and 35 to go from pick 14 to 11.

Morris was one of the names I dropped when you asked me to name some players.

He's 191cm, well built player that plays much bigger than his height. We dropped the ball imo.

27 got pushed out to 34 after Morris was picked.

yeah i know Morris was taken at 31 but it was pretty clear that we didnt rate anyone outside the top 20. But theres always talent available. And given our forward line crisis maybe should've coupled 27 and 35 to get in earlier?

We wouldn't be in this predicament if we picked up 6 key forwards like I said 2 seasons ago now would we :) I was being a little facetious but atleast 3 or 4 was required.

I'm not really sure your point about 'available talent' is best made by using a player who was unavailable as your example.

If we coupled 27 and 35 to get in earlier what does that pick look like, and more importantly who was taking that deal? Teams were very skittish about trading out of the top 20 except for Gold Coast who were getting plenty back for every pick swap they did.

I'm not really sure what your last point has to do with anything. Totally separate argument.

Also makes no sense, he's a fan of tholstrup and Windsor but we should have never taken them and picked up 2 more key forwards instead.

Imagine patting yourself on the back publicly over a player who kicked a few goals in an intraclub

I hear you. I was taking a more general approach. the dees basically went on record and said they didn't rate anyone outside the 20.
It's looking like Morris would've been perfect for us who was at 31. I'd like to know why a club in a key forward crisis didn't rate him.

Here we go haha.... Expect updates from Dan and Mich0 all season long on players who look like they are performing well that were taken with picks in the 30's and 40's. Cant wait!!! 🥳

Would be Honorable if they actually picked exactly who they would have taken, not taken the pussy way out of naming 7-10 players then claiming victory if one is decent

I kicked five goals in an intra club once against seniors, and I've never kicked more than two in a reserves season game. Intra clubs are flashy displays for players but not really news unless a box on happens or someone changes position

However with my five goal performance a few years ago I will put my hand up for the next draft

Kingsley is who I dream of as a Dees coach. Perfect mix of modern attacking game plan while having an intimidation factor, guy is on some angry pills.
Yep, I’ve been wanting Kingsley as our coach for ages too.

Kent Kingsley that is.

There can only be one Kingsley

Also this is the kent part of Topkent, I choose to believe it can't refer to anyone else
