our ball use still looks sketchy, but we at least look to be trying to move the ball quicker and go through the middle of the ground instead of hugging the boundary line though.
Laurie, ANB, and Billings all rotating through the centre square. Brown and Windsor sharing a wing. tall defenders struggling a bit.
Ball use is probably expected to be a bit off in the first hitout of the year.

Agree that we are clearly using the corridor more and I’m liking that we aren’t kicking dumps into the pocket..

Getting checked by Richmond atm, Suddenly we've gone back to moving down the wings. Hardly surprising

When we have gotten forward the oppositions transition from half back to half forward has been pretty okay, haven't been able to slow it down

Uh-oh, a turnover while playing on from half-back and taking the game on.

Won't see that again for the rest of the year now lol

Na, I'm talking about what we went into 2019 expecting to be off the back of how we played in 2018. Geelong in round 2 a perfect representation, couldn't defend for s**t when we were trying to play the way we wanted to. I distinctly remember Trac looking like he had eaten mums pasta 7 nights a week that preseason, came back fat. They fired Jennings over wanting to play a certain way. Clearly Goody phased him out of things going into the second half of the season.
Yeah I think the 6-6-6 rule change stuffed us, we couldn't get that run off the backline which worked so well in 18. Probably a little of bit of big headedness thinking we'll be able do just dominate from the centre sq and be able to kick to 6 v 6. You right first few rounds were pox but after that we were pretty boring.

Again we didn't touch the ball until Lever intercepted in the back pocket. Tried to come out, turned it over, could have raffled it off with 5 Tigers in the 50

Windsor will be alright, is learning very quickly though AFL zoning and closing space won't allow him the kicks he can get away at training and TAC cup

I'll back him to adjust, it's game one against AFL oppo

Reckon most preseason games are very quarter to quarter with scoring bursts, not sure why the panic tbh. They'd be trying different things every quarter. Metls over this quarter are a bit silly.

Most years, how teams perform in pre season matches flows into regular season.
