2019 comparisons after a vfl player goes down is wild

To be fair, the following players aren't playing today due to injury (*or other): Turner, Brown, Tmac, *Smith, Woewodin, *Brayshaw, McAdam, Hunter, Melksham, Petty, Spargo, Fullarton. The majority of them have had significantly impacted preseasons, and so have Clarry, Fritsch and AMW with May & Salem carrying niggles as well.

It's not insignificant, and the 2019 comparison has been made internally by Richo as well. Hopefully being aware of what happened last time will help us handle it better, but it's a massive test for Selwyn.

Yeah, not looking good. Burgo maybe, Seldog no.

when did Richo refer to 2019? He wasn't even at the club then.

It absolutely does feel like 2019, we are limping into round 1/0 with a tone of guys who have done a partial preseason or missed one all together. I dont think we finish second last coz we play a game style that will always keep us in games unlike back in 2019 where it was a more suicidal. Prepare yourselves for more exciting 67 def 61 #deesfootball

didnt suggest they were, just find it a strange thing for him to say and even more strange for someone to tell you that.

Appreciate you sharing your feelings. Nice to see BigFooty hasn't changed.

I disagree, we played a pretty conservative game in 2019, I feel we were in most games but we couldn't run out games in the second half. A lot of losses we were up at 3QT. Was pretty painful watching teams run over us.

Na, I'm talking about what we went into 2019 expecting to be off the back of how we played in 2018. Geelong in round 2 a perfect representation, couldn't defend for shit when we were trying to play the way we wanted to. I distinctly remember Trac looking like he had eaten mums pasta 7 nights a week that preseason, came back fat. They fired Jennings over wanting to play a certain way. Clearly Goody phased him out of things going into the second half of the season.

Kynan Brown looking pretty good so far, great goal from the pocket and now a run down tackle on the f50 then dish off to Trac for a goal.
From the pocket. Like a nice warm blanket.

our ball use still looks sketchy, but we at least look to be trying to move the ball quicker and go through the middle of the ground instead of hugging the boundary line though.
Laurie, ANB, and Billings all rotating through the centre square. Brown and Windsor sharing a wing. tall defenders struggling a bit.

Well, turned it on when we were up five goals to zero, now I've watched Richmond kick five in a row lol

Ed Langdon looking like he'd rather be hiking Macchu Pichu.
