Always thought it was ******* stupid we drafted him and Bowey one after another. Two short people.
If you're gonna be a midget atleast bring something to the table. Bowey has composure. Laurie's just a shit player who's also short.

Ive liked what I've seen from Laurie in the VFL at times over the past couple of seasons , he just seems like a guy who can't make the jump. It is what it is. I got nothing against him.

I agree, but I still rather see what he has got opposed to gifting games to mr 12 disposal turnover merchant Sparrow for another season.

I don't hate him either just can't see anything there, not the type of player we need either with Spargo and Bowey already ahead of him

If he was any good he'd be getting a game I'd say. Much like how I said I wanted to see Howes last year, yesterday was proof that despite being able to rack up 38 touches and 20 marks in a VFL game like he did on one occasion last year that he's a mile off it at AFL level.

Would rather give him a run in the guys at afl level than sit through another 74 of Sparrow in there.

If you rather Goodwin running the same personal doing the same thing year on year then that’s on you
I wasn't arguing either way - just asking what the basis was for saying Laurie could get the ball and Sparrow couldn't.

Sad part is yesterday wasn’t AFL level. They had 6-7 of there best 22 out and a brand new coach and systems.

It’s an obscure thing / small point to try zero in on after I mentioned 15 players but just look at Laurie’s VFL numbers vs Sparrows AFL numbers from last season. Different level I know but if one bloke tears it up at VFL and one struggles at AFL don’t you think it’s worth a swap? How the **** else do you make the 1sts if not that.

So it's an AFL v. VFL comparison - no worries. :thumbsupv1:

Yes, how else would you compare it numnuts?
That's not very nice.

If they're not playing at the same level, I probably wouldn't use raw numbers at all in the way you seem to be. If Laurie were playing AFL level and Sparrow VFL, I'd contend Sparrow would be getting more of it. It's not a fair comparison.

I'd like to see Laurie in, for what it's worth (very little).

Not sure how me saying “he can find the pill” is comparing raw numbers.

Anyway if it makes you happy I will take him off the list and just run with the 12-13 guys ahead of him. Jesus.
