Holmes being very smart. Play enough at half back to justify being selected as one. Then get into the middle to pad the stats and get the eye of the judges.

Is there a good list of the 1v1 loss stats around? Or is that one of the stats that you have to look up player by player?Weitering and Taylor are clearly the two best KPDs for this 1v1 loss % metric. Weitering significantly ahead of Taylor.
Allir has half as many 1v1s so I think it's unfair to include him.
May, Collins and Andrews aren't too far behind Taylor.
It's time for Weitering to be rewarded, I think.

I don't think Blake Acres has the skills to be AA, however just curious who would be the top 4-5 genuine wings in the league?
McCluggage and Gulden come to mind and probably the standouts. After that would Blake be in the mix?
McCluggage hasnt played genuine wing for a while. Moved fully on ball the last few yearsI don't think Blake Acres has the skills to be AA, however just curious who would be the top 4-5 genuine wings in the league?

Ah yeah that makes sense. Of all the positions that they squeeze in the elite mids, wing is probably the most justified.Holmes might be picked on the wing, Josh Daicos has been very good for a poor side. Actually feel JMac has been way better than Gulden for us this year personally. They probably pick Walsh there which is somewhat justified anyway.

Yeah not a bad shout. Would have him at a similar level to Acres this year though.Josh Daicos would be up there, although he started the season a bit slow.
No current season stats available
Nic Martin been Wing or half back?Josh Daicos would be up there, although he started the season a bit slow.
Half backNic Martin been Wing or half back?
Can't help but think if Ben King played for a bigger club he'd be in more peoples teams right now.
averaging 3 goals a game and leading the Coleman at the midway point of the season.
It's really a pretty simple decision when it comes to key forwards for the most part - who kicks the most goals.Wins the Coleman he makes it. It’s an even bunch but can see them going the ones Hogan-Curnow-McKay (2 of the 3) as well. Hard to tell in that position

As of right now, if you took any of them (other than probably Curnow) above King at the half way point of the season, it's the wrong decision.
No. He may make the team but that reasoning is wrong. It's really a pretty simple decision when it comes to key forwards for the most part - who kicks the most goals.

Imagine not including alex Pearce. WILD.As far as the key defensive posts it's obvious that Weitering, Taylor, Andrews and May are the four leaders. All have over 20 one-on-ones, all have a loss rate of under 20%, all have strong intercept games. I have Andrews and Taylor currently but that could change.
Pearce is behind all four in his loss % by a fair margin. He's at 26.8%, which is hardly terrible, but not to Weitering (7.1%), Taylor (11.5%), May (12.5%) or Andrews (14.3%) level. He's ahead of Weitering offensively (more SI and SL) but behind the other three.Imagine not including alex Pearce. WILD.
This almost tops someone saying Mcluggage has better disposal than Merret I read in a different thread.
Blows my mind how people can state stuff as obvious when they are so clearly wrong.

You can mount a case of having him ahead of Weitering, but the other three are ahead.
