How poor is this affiliation - it really highlights how poor our and Sandringams lists are. Completely bereft of midfield talent. WTF Batchelor doesnt throw some different players through the middle is mind boggling.
The Saints VFL players are kids or players who wouldnt get a game in most VFL sides. The Sandringham list wouldnt beat an Eastern League team.

Good win. Love to Allison having a decent game, not quite kicking straight with 0.4 but went back and had some clutch moments.
Keeler, he has to debut before seasons over. Same with Heath.

I just saw the score, obviously you are right. In my defence Sandringham lead for about a total of 2 minutes of the game. Its a common thread with Sandringham giving the opposition a start and coming back late and losing, I assumed today would be the same. Ill have to go back and watch the last 40 minutes.
The AFL game day post was the reality our skills as a club are well below par. RTB would be far better served concentrating on the groups skill levels over the preseason rather than trying to turn every player into a marathon runner.

Its a coach appointed by the Saints.
So if we had a stand alone club, how would we be better than "this affiliation".
Hopefully when some spud from Sandy gets a rookie pick with the Saints, then others with more talent might see Sandy as a good shot.

We don't invest in players. Other clubs pay for a few solid ex AFL players to come in and hold together the side. We have a few GOP journeymen and kids.

Can easily be fixed , we just need Basset to get invest in a few AFL standard players that have finished there career and give them a money incentive to mentor the kids coming through the system.
