My all time favorite player PD35, we had many better players and of the highest caliber, but he for me was the ultimate teammate and team player…

Ed did the jumper proud, wonderful career, now it gets passed on to a promising young player who can make it his own…

If Billy can have half or more the career of the great man, then he’ll have a fine career…
Read "my favourite player PD35" as Peter Daicos 35. Was sort of prepared to accept it.

You summed Deany up perfectly. South Bendigo star. He also made the premiership medal presentations more amusing.

Deano was so high off on euphoria it was hilarious. He ran up to the podium like road runner and nearly lost his balance. Then falls over the railings, loops back around to get back on the stage before running off and literally jumping back into the players’ area.

Made some interesting comments back in 87 as well. Something along the lines of "Mots, Dessie, you're ****ing bloody beautiful".

Barring injuries absolutely. How quickly people forget how good Durds is, pocket rocket with great field kicking and goal nous to go with his tackle pressure.

I reckon we have seen flashes of what Durdin can do but he hasn't yet put it together IMO (34 games/27 goals). I don't doubt the talent

However, Motlop is another level and I would argue has already done more in his career than Durdin has (so far)

Durds is a ripping kick particularly when he delivers from up higher on the ground, creates space and makes things happen…

Absolutely rapt that Martin was able to finally get a good continuous run without injury, thank you Mrs Martin, top 6 most valuable and impactful of our B22 players…

Fantasia was a very dangerous and talented forward, had a few injuries during his time at *** decent first season at Port then the body completely let him down, played the back half of the SANFL without injuries so hopefully his body can be a chance of still standing up at AFL level, time will tell…

Fog’s tenacity pressure and footy nous is unquestioned, respect the manner in which way he plays, his career was certainly at the crossroads, i think he’ll still get some games in this year on the back of the way he plays, he’s only downfall is he doesn’t produce enough goals as a small forward…

We seem to now have a combination of better depth developing forwards, players coming through who are able to create & pressure while also hiting the scoreboard themselves which is essential, if Fog can elevate his goal contributions then he’ll up for selection every game…

Which is a huge downfall given the hot competition for spots....

(may the best, hungriest man win!!)

I like Fog. I had basically given up on him. The way he turned it around in the second half of last year was very good (finally injury free).

But if we are going to play him in the same position as last year, he has to hit the scoreboard. If he’s 35-40 metres out, it needs to be six points more often than not. Until he does that, he’s a chance of having others overtake him.

Fogarty is moreso an undersized inside mid than he is a small fwd or even a HHF.

Come at me bro/sis...

absolutely agree, for the record he's listed as slightly taller than Caleb Serong & Lachie Neale.

Corey Durdin in the same boat too imo, could be more of a brent harvey than eddie betts.
