Ukraine has probably fleeced the US out of enough money by now anyway. Biden has looked weak the entire time in office and those countries know it.

Trump is not a war monger that people make him out to be and continually talk about bringing people together whether inside the US or overseas.

Trump more drone strikes than any other president, funding Saudis war v Yemen, moving embassy to Jerusalem to inflame tensions and knocking off high up commander in Iran.

He was no different to a normal neocon in that regard. Neither he nor Biden are doing any troops on ground wars and Biden hasn’t begun any wars either.

Russia invaded Ukraine, not sure that could be put on Biden. Only difference is Trump would have tried to let Russia get everything they want.

Hamas did October 7 and then yes Biden has aided a genocide of Gaza, yet Trump somehow thinks Joe is a Palestinian and pretty much wants Gaza bombed harder.

Trumps way of “peace” is to give the more powerful side everything they want.

I think JD Vance is all about JD Vance and has no real ideology and will do and say whatever is necessary for his own interests.

When he was saying those things against trump, it was because it was beneficial to him at the time. He has now bended the knee to trump as it’s beneficial for him obtaining power.

Aren’t his peaceful resolutions just being pro Russia and letting them do whatever to end the war?

Not sure of his Israel stance, guessing it’s not condemning Netanyahu though.

If the Democrats put in any number of boring, normal, random, relatively unknown, halfway-competent looking candidate then they win.

Trump stinks. He’s a creep and a criminal and people know it. Only his crazy lemmings think otherwise, and they’ll never vote anything but Republican anyway.

He won in 2016 because Hillary was a terrible candidate and if he wins in 2024 it’a because Biden is all but a deceased man in a suit.

Something Democrats need to reckon with is that their party has deep, deep issues which leads them to these car crash candidates. They couldn’t stop the Clintons. They can’t stop the Bidens. People are talking about Michelle Obama… good lord.

The US psyche is big on independence and voters do not like “royal families”. Yet the Democrats seem to keep trying to give it to them.

They have themselves to blame. The Democratic Party is clearly ****ed.

Dems problem that their halfwit leadership doesn’t know or care about is that people have had a gutful of the status quo so hate them being a centrist “don’t rock the boat” party.

Look at what’s happened in France, the far left saved them from fascists as the centres vote collapsed. That’s just one example.

Dems need to offer a positive alternative with proper progressive policies. The sad truth is they have been taken over by the corporate types who’d actually prefer a trump presidency than a genuine progressive like Bernie.

The bloke was impeached for it yet it seems to have been forgotten, in the current environment it’s pretty important isn’t it?

This has been the most disappointing part for me

They have known Trump would be the presumptive - and now - nominee for 2-3 years but its been soft glove time

I dont know who their advisors are but there is a wasteland of stuff that would cripple a normal person

Interestingly after Vietnam, Afghanistan x 2, Iraq x 2 etc some American voters have wisened up to the fact that America playing world police does not end in better outcomes. Giving untold billions to arms manufacturers so that Uncle Sam can be involved in every regional conflict is unnecessary. And domino theory ("if we let the russki commies take an inch then they'll be riding a horse into Washington a week later") is BS.

We've all seen this movie before m8.

He doesnt want to trade with china. But has little care about regional disputes in the china south seas. Even the loss of semi conducter technology wont sway him.

My question was why do YOU want Russia to be able to do what they like in Europe?

Do you also want China or Indonesia to be able to do whatever they like in/to Australia, and that the US should butt out of assisting Australia with political or military support to keep the Indonesians and Chinese out of Australia at some point in the future?
