Conservatives on Twitter show they have finally found the counter to the Vance couch gag by...by...well, lets just say their minds went straight to horse sperm in a totally non weird way.

So expect to see plenty of weird shit like that today. Jr is already on it.

This grown ass man has aspirations to be president himself some day.

The comments from MAGA, arguing that ****ing a couch isn’t as weird as drinking horse jizz.

Someone posted a very old meme about someone in England back in the 90s being stomach pumped for reasons related to horses and semen, photoshopping Welz name/picture onto it and now they are running with it.

Very high brow stuff.

Definitely not weird.

Because it wasnt initially taken as a joke. People thought it was real. Fact checkers had to go verify it because it was thought to be real. And the fact people are still saying it even though its been verified as completely false is even worse. Cos if aint a joke. Its plain repulsive and humiliating. And making voters disgusted does sadly change votes. The obama rumour, while terrible, didnt elicit disgust. It didnt humiliate obama. And you would think with Vance that democrats would just want to put his own words front and centre and that would damage him politically enough. But vile misinformation like this just makes the democrats look bad and makes them harder to trust with the truth.

Again, if the rumour was about harris everyone on here would be up in arms about it as being vile sexism and racism. And that would be justified. Its gross hypocrisy to be fine with it. Its really not ok.
Also, story was not started by the official politicians in the democrats, but a random who maybe was acting with malice but that is going to be the norm in politics going forward. Social media allows us to fire unchecked slander from the comfort of the couch.

Definitely not weird.

Weirdly enough, in my research, Ive found that its a...somewhat common thing in NZ where there is...allegedly a beer that contains said ingredient and is reported to have good health benefits?

Not entirely sure that website wasnt satirical though...

Why did they not go for something like dolphin pron?

Oh, that's right...as you were.

One issue that I think will play to Trump's strengths and rhetoric is the continuing global rise of China and their ever expanding productive capacity which is swamping out jobs in manufacturing across the globe.

The US has lost around 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2020 and this has cut huge swathes out of the economic heartland of cities and states across the US. Not just in the cities of Chicago and Detroit but in states like Ohio and California as well, affecting not just traditional manufacturing industries but the sunrise industries in EVs, renewables, communications technologies.

The people who have lost these jobs and whose economies and communities who have suffered most from this decline are of course, the poorly educated and under-skilled - the so called 'working poor'. Thgey're the people most likely to sign up to the MAGA cause of blaming others.

It's an issue that needs serious discussion and debate because as I see it, it's something that has been ignored by policy makers under previous administrations, including under Biden.

But of course, what we are likely to get in this series of Presidential debates is empty rhetoric rather than coherent cohesive long term solutions. Which is a shame because its the rising tide of economic decline that will hit the US hard whoever wins the next Presidential race.

Edit: Trump's solution to this has always been and will be increasing tariffs on Chinese goods which will go down well with his economic illiterate supporter base. A supporter base that does not understand the basic economics of tariffs - that the tariffs are paid by the buyers in the country imposing them (i.e. Americans); making not just the goods themselves more expensive, but accelerating the ongoing decline and non-competitiveness of the US manufacturing sector - hitting the working poor of America ever harder. In short, its not a solution but a catalyst for catastrophic job losses.

Possibly but when you dig deep unlikely

Oh wait deep isnt a MAGA trait

My point is Trump already tried economic isolation - or at least promised it '' American jobs for Americans '' etc and found out the realpolitik of global trade was much more harder than he thought

Yes he can sell the message but he has his baggage in relation to it

This is the thing about Walz, when was the last time in an election one of the candidates was most like average Americans. It’s either been millionaires, long term senators, elites or nepo candidates for how ever long.

Someone posted a graphic that showed since 1988 it has been a Bush-Clinton-Biden ogliarchy and I can see why Trump Jr thought he could ride his old mans coattails
