USA 2024 US Presidential Election: Trump vs Harris (pt II)

Absolutely, I support neither Trump nor Harris. As I have said over and over, both represent different routes to catastrophe for the working class.

Here is the candidate I support:

A minor party will have no say in the future of America.
Oh they might get Trump voted in I guess.

You absolutely are a cynic if you believe that the current system is incapable of improving the lives of workers/voters without a systemic change. Thats kind of the exact definition of a cynic.

But the main point of concern is that you don't seem to be able to follow your own argument, which is alarming to me.

You said:

so lets simplify the language a bit, and use the name of the current parties to help you follow what it is that you are saying.

So you are, in fact, clearly arguing that the Democrats are a step away from the worst outcome, which is baffling to me that your conclusion

is completely detached from your argument.
The extremely far left are as dangerous as the extremely far right imo

They absolutely have the capacity to be, but they are not right now.

The far left are not taken seriously and have no power.
The far right are within grasp of absolute power.

It’s been the most accurate poll in all races including Senate since 2016. Even when all the other polls were saying otherwise. So it’s got form
It’s only been notably (outside the margin of error) wrong once in about a decade, for a governor race in 2018. Went +5 the other way. Even if it’s that off this time, it means Trump only takes Iowa by +2 which would still be causing alarm for his campaign.

All these polls coming out, I am getting confused.

Which one to believe? Can't believe Trump is so far in front of so many (my bias of course).

Tuesday I think, have had my $10 bet.

When you go all anti democratic, yep, and that can happen regardless of economic policy and beliefs.

Thing is in America and worldwide in general, the far right are wayyyyy more closer to power than the far left.

Bingo, no point worrying about leaders seizing the means of production and taking away all private ownership, as literally no one anywhere near power is advocating for it.

Trump getting the blows on betting markets - the orange boy is in real trouble if young men start abandoning him

They are the ones who’d be influenced to vote or not vote based on something as dumb as that, no one else.

I mean they are generally a low propensity voter group but Trump is kind of banking on the young bro vote to get him over the line.

Story in the Atlantic suggests that I was wrong for saying Biden should drop out, and that we, unfortunately, missed out on this.

At the end of June, in the afterglow of a debate performance that would ultimately prompt President Joe Biden to end his campaign for reelection, Donald Trump startled his aides by announcing that he’d come up with a new nickname for his opponent.

“The guy’s a ******. He’s ******ed. I think that’s what I’ll start calling him,” Trump declared aboard his campaign plane, en route to a rally that evening, according to three people who heard him make the remarks: “******ed Joe Biden.”

EDIT: bloody swear filter. Screenshot from article below.

Elon the Great?

Yep, that’s why we need more guardrails on our systems. Look at the world and general political consensus on taxing the wealthy and having a welfare state which held well from about 1945-75.

Though certain posters would tell you this means we need revolution (worldwide mind you) instantly, with no workable idea what this would even look like. Just “the workers” revolt, but they kinda need to know wtf they are revolting in aid of.
