USA 2024 US Presidential Election: Trump vs Harris (pt II)

I actually disagree.

Despite those of us that are anti Trump, we will just shake our head, some with disappointment some, some with real sadness. No melts from me, just that I will be posting in these threads for another four years.

I doubt there will be violence if Harris loses.

I think the real melts will come from Trump apologists if he loses.

Some who rarely post will be in here for a stir despite not previously had any interest in the election.

Stolen election, RW media influence, corrupt election officials blah, blah, blah.
I have vague recollection in 2016 of a single BF poster losing the plot (no longer here) about Clinton losing, but the rest were as you have posted

I can't find this, do you have a link? AS in I could conceivably see how they get to that conclusion (at an incredibly charitable interpretation) if they think Harris is going to cash the economy or otherwise make healthcare even less affordable than now (which I dont believe she will do either of those things).
No link, I watched it live!

Something I do regularly and feel dirty afterwards. FOX is unbelievable, have no problems lying.

yeah, well see.

but it suggest you moderating job will be busy regardless of who wins.
Fortunately, I don't moderate these boards, just the Collingwood board.

I feel for the Mods that look after SRP.

there are some cooked units supporting Harris also.
Nah, you got it wrong, not even close.

Not sure there are any true supporters, just anti Trump.

may need to keep an eye on crap they put out live that then doesn't make any socials hoping that it is forgotten...

trump just described Nigel Farage as a very well respected man - wtf this is another griftiing lying scum whose death would immeasurably improve the world.

It’s ok though cos Alex Jones said he can verify tuckers story as being legit.
Tucker is now on record as believing Alex Jones is a prophet. After he watched some "Alex Jones was right" videos selectively edited to include anything that could conceivably be shoe-horned into an I told you so while omitting all the stuff he gets wrong weekly if not daily :tearsofjoy:

Not the brightest bulb ol' Tuck, assuming he even believes what he says himself these days which is debatable.

Bookies have fairly consistently had him as favourite but <insert conspiracy theory of choice here m8>.
And half the money went in the bookies back pocket when Biden pulled out.

Not sure you can make anything of the betting markets given the Bookies have already collected massively on Trump which gave Trump a massive head start in the betting.

Also worth noting there would be SFA significant bets placed - bookies would simply not allow them.

On chapstickUK, perhaps it was that the question conflated it to all healthcare when it was more access to reproductive and birth control healthcare. Otherwise he gets to ignore it as "why is this question about all healthcare for women, no one is cutting that" (though it is relevant to note that Trumps health care policy is still 2 weeks away for the last 8 years)
He already dodged it anyways, like he always does!
He hates women, like all good conservative men do!

I always like the ABC animated infographic primers on these sorts of things

tl;dr too close to call, there are compelling arguments both sides

I still think Trump will win.

I remember in 2020 like 4 people came in when Trump was ahead, laughed at how good it was, but claimed they didn't really care and disappeared soon as postals got counted and Biden stormed ahead never to return

Following on from this, there is mention in the article of the 'silent conservative' - the ones that refuse to respond (or respond accurately) to polls, but the polls themselves have built this into their methodology - which has resulted in these dead heat and 50/50 polls.

The Iowa poll from a respected pollster is what the Democrats will be pinning their hopes on - the 'silent liberal' that is turning up in droves (eg women angry at anti-abortion policies by Republican representatives) that will cause a Harris landslide.

Either way, anyone claiming victory for either side based purely on polls are fools. As always, the only poll that matters is tomorrow.

and if he loses trump will even claim tomorrows doesn't matter

I watch the three main cable media and enjoy flicking between all three.

FOX - just lies, full of put downs and ridicule of all things Democrat.

CNN - since being taken over and managed by Republican interests tries hard to appear neutral and they have guests from both R and D, but the R are so extreme it is quite boring. Guy called Scott Jenning has this permanent smirk and he speaks more about personalities rather than policy, he has never said anything negative about Trump. Hosts let go untruths without challenge. Except for maybe Anderson Cooper.

MSNBC - all the way Democrat, haven't caught them in a lie but they really play up all things Democrat in positive light.
I can see tears if Trump wins.

We might need a new thread at 10pm tonight to coincide with the opening of election day voting.

Have a feeling this thread which is humming, is going to take off tonight/tomorrow morning.
Will the BigFooty servers be able to cope?

Unfortunately once the news breaks that Trump's tan comes from Stephen Dank giving him the same injections James Hird got, there's no AWS plan big enough to save this website.

In an alternative universe I'd love to see Tucker/Jones/Bannon/MTG/Flynn/Loomer and Stone actually in charge of something.......................would be quite a sight

Just about the most thankless job on BigFooty. You need to have an incredibly tough skin to be able to handle this cesspool.
