Guns per se are not an issue.
Gun law reform is the issue.
Responsible gun ownership has never been the issue.
The types of weapons available, the ease of access and the unaccountability of where guns are stored and carried would be.

Not all democrats like or have guns.
No but if you were to survey Democrats. The most pressing issue would not be banning all guns.
It's the type of weapons available and the accessibility of those high powered weapons.
What Democrat voters want is gun reform that gets the high powered guns out of the public as best as possible. That ship has sailed too far already I fear.

An American politician saying they are a gun owner is equivalent to an Australian one borrowing an Akubra and meeting a farmer. Just another tick a box exercise, all in the name of avoiding silly headlines from media outlets and nonsense questions from tabloid reporters.

Is there a possibility that an interview on Oprah is speaking to an audience you are not a part of?
I don't get Oprah, and I never have. I don't understand the appeal of super softball interviewing, the cloying nature of it. I don't find interviews all that interesting unless they're adversarial in nature, and not the faux adversarial that you find on Australian TV. I'm talking Mike Sheahan and Mark Jackson adversarial.
But just because I don't get it doesn't mean it's valueless. It might just not be for me. Is there a chance that that interview is just not for you, that what you're seeing as word salad is simply speaking to groups you aren't a part of?
