Berry, Hotton and Lindsay are the names that keep getting mentioned for our pick and all suit or needs. If it was Shannan it may be a selection that gives insight to our use of Jackson and the long-term thoughts around Darcy.

This is all wrong, Vic metro kid away from family away from the main group. This is not a smart play.
Didn’t hogan say something about getting to the club an being stuck in rehab / away from the main group made a it struggle to move to a new club feel comfortable?
It depends on how he's interviewed I suppose. He may relish the opportunity to go to a new environment and establish himself.
It's always a double-edged sword grabbing a draftee from rehab for either LTI or a series of injuries. You can get a bargain, but also inherit a injury prone player.
Also as you say initial introduction periods can have so much bearing on either induction to the group/club and/or the higher level.

In theory, if we were to grab Hotton, we could then place him on the LTI list to open up a new spot?
Duff had a guy on this morning that said Isiah Winder hadn’t yet spoken to a single AFL club this season at the time of the State Combine.
Basically said he was unlikely to be drafted.

Port seems key. Assuming no other surprise falls from a tall like Armstrong then as long as Port go tall we are guaranteed one of the very end of that top group (Berry, Lindsay, Travaglia etc) will be there.

Yes port is the key. Look like they will have Berry and Shanahan as options which will decide our fate. With Charlie Dixon and Houston gone, I think they will go for Shanahan
