Looks nicely balanced between the 5 teams.

A COUPLE of questions:

Olie Greeves, touted as a gun?

Lachlan Dovaston 175cm Eastern any good?
Lachy Dovaston was probably top 10 in early 2023, but has fallen off slowly, he might be able to cement himself more with a strong Vic Metro campaign and more midfield time for Eastern next year.

EDIT to bring the list to 50 including GF exhbition match listed players

In fact, if those two 2025 rankings are combined with the 2025 AFL Academy and then factor in those listed in the 17's GF exhibition this is what we get.

1-Willem Duursma (Vic C) (3 Lists)
2-Daniel Annable (Allies) (3)
3-Cooper Duff-Tytler (Vic M) (3)
4-Louis Emmett (Vic M) (3)
5-Archie Ludowyke (Vic M) (3)

Other Players who were listed in the National 17's GF Exhibition

33-Luke Candy (SA)
34-Sam Grlj (Vic M)
35-Joshua Reichelt (SA)
36-Tairon Ah-Mu (Vic C)
37-Harrison Wilson (Allies)
38-Toby Whan (WA)
39-Felix Kneipp (Vic M)
40-Bailey-Dean Latanis (Allies)
41-Lucas Wootten (Allies)
42-Kalen Russell (Allies)

43-Jack Ison (Vic M)
44-Raphael Geesu (Allies)
45-Blake Kelly (WA)
46-Jai Murray (Allies)
47-Charlie Banfield (WA)

Others on the radar (random) to bring the number to 50

48-Jobe Scapin (Vic C)
49-Louis Kellaway (SA)
50-Charlie Whitehead (Vic M)

Allies 17
Vic M 11

SA 8
Vic C 7

That indeed suggests that the experts think WA is finishing last or second last in the 2025 championships or have the least amount of talent or near on with Vic Country.

Surely Toby Whan’s nickname is Kenobi?

Does anyone know roughly when Kalani White will nominate Melbourne or Gold Coast. I know he's going to be training with Melbourne and Gold Coast over this pre-season but will he nominate soon after or wait until closer towards the draft?
Like, what's normal?
August/September.
Nick Blakey commited to Sydney in early May. It can really happen at any time, but usually it's later in the season because the player likes to see how each club is going in their draft year before they commit one way or the other. From a player perspective, you'd probably prefer to go to the team that looks like they are going to finish higher on the ladder in the early stages of your career and that's probably not entirely clear right now when discussing the Suns and Dees.

Family is based on GC yes?
Correct. Multiple siblings that are several years younger too, so you'd think it's unlikely that they would want to move the family to Melbourne if Kalani does choose the Dees. Father Jeff also worked as the ruck coach for the Suns in the early days.

So, who knows? There are legitimately reasons to pick either team. I think he'll choose the Dees, though.

Anybody willing to post their very early (current) 2025 national top 50's? Obviously they will evolve over the next 11 months but it would be great to balance out the mainstream media and AFL Academy thoughts.

Given our draft hand I'll accept people posting their top 5's.

Whatever number possible. Davo27, Haggas and others here are already in a positition already to have 75 plus names up their sleeve.
Haggas did a mock draft a little while back. I stole it for our board the other day.

Hoping we end up with Sharp & Rodriguez with our 2 picks at this early point

I'm glad Haggas rates Blake Kelly (SD/WA). At first some may think he's a bit plain but over time they will realise just how prolific, strong and quick he is. Doesn't play bad games.

EDIT: And Sam Swadling (WP/WA). That bloke is pure silk. If you have seen him watch on noobermensch channel. Mid/Fwd 187cm
