Age distribution of every clubs top 25 players. A very good breakdown

Our age profile puts us in the window now and for the next few seasons. Ditto Carlton (but with a smaller window). Essendon similar but not ready yet.* Bulldogs and Suns have a nice spread of ages.

* Age is only one aspect. Essendon may have the age profile to suggest they will peak in coming years but that doesn't mean I think they will. Their peak isn't looking like flags. Maybe winning a final is their holy grail at this point in time.

There's an article reporting there are undisclosed issues with JUH at the Bulldogs: https://sen.com.au/news/2025/01/20/uncertainty-over-immediate-playing-future-of-ugle-hagan

Logan is tracking very comparably to JUH (who was the #1 pick the same year) and both have improved year on year. JUH scores slightly more goals (1.5 v 1.3 per game). Despite this, in 2024 Logan racked up slightly more rating points (265.8 v 263.6), which puts him in the top 20 KPFs in the comp for 2024 (although rating points are a very imperfect yardstick they are better than some others, including goals alone).

I think some criticise Logan unfairly. He isn't the messiah but he's a good (above average) player. And he still has plenty of room for improvement. He's probably still 5 years off his peak and will likely still be a better player in 10 more years than he was last season. So hopefully we have many more years of quality McDonald service coming our way.

Geelong: Not manning up Nick Davis at the last stoppage of the 2005 semi-final. 🤣

🥱

Sydney: Nick Smith

(A fair choice but there's a lot of competition.)

Sydney: Adam Goodes 👍

I just finished reading The Boys Club.. and now over the last few days watching league headquarters deal with the situation the Carlton president found himself in. It’s all straight from the afl playbook. We just have to wait to see where he pops up in a few years time in the football sphere.
He won't be popping up , his wife went through his phone

No, no all happy families.

Let's not forget this guy was the CEO of PWC at the time of the tax scandal;

He rode that out, set up the 'Sayers Group', with backing of big moneyed friends and consequently picked up millions of dollars in consulting fees from the Federal govt.

Sure the 'dick pic' saw him resign from Carlton, but he'll be back.
As shown with 'The Age' article and pic the public rehabilitation has already begun.
I'm tipping in time a nice safe Liberal seat awaits.
