$705 for what is, I'm guessing, 16 games (i.e. $45/game) including a reserved seat is exceptional, if you make the most of it.
I've deliberately held off renewing for this season because my earlier attempt last season was a dog's breakfast. Has it improved this year? Has the info and merch for 2025 been dispatched yet?
I miss going to the footy on the regular.

Just purchased five seats in the Selwood Stand. Love it how they have the interactive seating plan on the website, and you can see the remaining seats available. I was quite surprised to see all the available seats still remaining. Plenty still for sale. I had initially purchased a home general admission membership, but then emailed the club and upgraded to the five seats. Very easy and I am rapt I can turn up and not have to worry about upgrading to a reserved seat for each game.

It might be. But it might be worth emailing them and asking anyway. This year is the first time I have seen it. I upgraded from a general admission membership after I'd already paid for that and it was processed. Worth asking the question IMO.
Just got an email from the club 5 minutes after you posted this saying yes - members do get free entry to the Essendon game.
No word on whether the Hawthorn match is open to the public though?

For those of you who are also MCC members, I read this week when the MCC 2025 AFL ticketing info came out that junior AFL club memberships can be used for entry to the MCC for games where those memberships would otherwise provide entry into the public area. This is as long as they are with an MCC member.
Tickets go on sale this Tuesday for our Round 6 MCG home game, but the Geelong Football Club cannot give me a straight answer on how I can book tickets as I need my GFC membership barcodes to enter on the Ticketek site.

Question for any Social Club members here: when reserving seats and guest passes, do we do that week by week or do bookings open up when the first half of the year’s tickets go on sale at the same time?

It is done week by week. The club send an email advising when the tickets will be on sale and a reminder on the day. Tickets generally on sale 10-11 days before the game.
For anyone who can't go to all home games and are willing to buy a three game membership,
- you can get three extra games (total 6 games) on the "Valentines Day Special" this Friday to Sunday only.
And get this- these 6 games includes a reserved seat
