Got a timestamp for the Paton discussion, or just from the side shown on-screen?

i think Paton suits Sydneys style, particularly as a back role player, probably allows players like roberts to get off the bit

hes not a spud, goes ok. similar type of player to coffield i guess is a fair way to describe him

he's not a 133k freshman, and might well cement a spot in their team
Fair enough.

Well if he does well in the preseason matches and in round 0, then lines up in rd1, he's going to be in every single team.

Wait and see I guess.

Been a bit of discussion in the training thread.

Seems like the eagles are pretty keen on playing Duggan as a full time midfielder. Wonder if he can chuck an extra 15 points on his average.
Starting price too much, in a poor side that will get battered. He's no Yeo. Too risky I reckon. Much better options for like $80k more.

Hasn't McCartin been training forward?
Yeah, pretty sure. I think when Cox said he was going to mix things up as far as player positions go, he liked McCartin as a forward and Wicks off HB. With the latter in that sort of role, I'll have a side glance at him during pre-season and if he can cement a best 22 spot (dubious) being priced at $241k, but not expecting much.

Has Sicily had a full preseason fellas?
Don't you listen to Maybe Tomorrow :moustache:....although he's half right

Fitness work :whitecheck: .....just no contact due to the shoulder op

This is fine, as Sicily never has body contact in games anyway ......:padlock: in my side

Geez… looking like a lot of value in DEF

Starting to consider not starting a max priced Sheezel

Also sounds like every man and his dog at North is set for more time in the mids and expected to bump up their SC ave by 10-15pts there may not be enough chips to go around?

Sheezle is one of those players who is a ball magnet and will score well wherever he plays. Play him back he gets plenty of it and in the Midfield dominates. Send him forward and kicks goals very much in the mould of prime Danger & now Naicos and I cant see his average dropping.

Was more in reference to a spot opening down back for Paton

It's interesting ....I've not seen one of the top AFL Fantasy players in podcasts think Sheezel is a good selection .....and I've watched maybe 6 podcasts, including Moreira's Magic

There's a thinking, that AFL Fantasy always look for value ...whilst SC Coaches still select the top priced players from the previous year

With the extra player (Flex) .....those prices are going to drop quickly

Also, how long B4 Teams start tagging Sheezel .....it really hasn't been a thing up till now ....surely he's not going to be allowed to run free all season

Until it does…

Don’t doubt he’ll be top 6 DEF come year’s end, but no doubt he’ll also be cheaper sooner rather than later

Note not picking Sheeze isnt so much a knock on him rather there’s some good value in DEF starting to emerge

FYI based on past few years, slightly less than half of top 10 DEF finish in the top 10 again

You could probably say that about all lines except ruck, always lots of change top 10 etc.

I don't understand the thinking that the extra player (Flex) is going to cause the prices to drop quickly?

It's only a 31st player in our SC sides. The overall number of players in the system remains the same, as does the number of points to share around.

If anything, the 3% reduced starting prices should mean premium prices fall less.

Agreed.

Thats why I’m hesitant about spending top dollar on top 10 on each line

If I’m spending 630k+ I’d rather go with a Bont, Butters or Xerri as safer bets

Even Gawn ahead of Sheez, like as you said, less movement of too ranked players start vs seasons end

Anyway food for thought given all the cookie cutters out there

Definitely a PS watch for Sheez, as he may play more fwd this year, but should still get really solid mid time.

Flanders should go nuts again but has that early bye.
