No, leaving out context which can explain a players form e.g. injuries, and being inconsistent in what you're arguing, is not a matter of opinion.

Now, you might personally not care if others leave things out while criticising a player, or if they say contradictory things / change what they are saying while pretending they haven't, but for me this makes having a genuine conversation very frustrating and it would be much quicker and less posts if people didn't do that.

Or you can keep pretending that all opinions are equal, that no-one should disagree or challenge anyone else, which we all know you definitely don't abide by yourself.

I always started it after the mid season bye but there will be no difference when it’s started and it’s still a worthwhile thread to have.

I have seen the light , there is a new Bedford , no more correcting , or feeling im totally correct with every post , but the old was maybe too passionate after following the red and white since the 33 flag

Draft value index (DVI)/bidding system

New framework for the DVI/bidding system will be implemented aiming to restore fair value.

The new DVI will see points allocated up until the end of the natural third round. (Link to new DVI model)

A 10% discount will be applied on all bids from selection 1 to 18 followed by an 84-point deduction (being 10% of selection 18) for all bids from selection 19 to 36.

Matching a bid - first round: Matched using equivalent DVI points.

Matching a bid - after first-round:

Matched using equivalent DVI points up to selection 36.

Match with next selection from selection 37.

Restriction on Northern Academies: There will be no restrictions based on ladder finishing position for Northern Academy clubs.

The academy picks this year are going to put us in a bit of a pickle . This is where good list management comes in, how to obtain enough points vs limiting flexibility in years to come . good problem to have a suppose.

The AFL have actually done a good job with the new system, not that it was ever that hard to fix.

It's a shame it wasn't fixed years ago as a lot of the resentment around academies and father/son wouldn't be there.

I usually sticky the one created by Lore over on the Draft thread which includes Team draft positions which is inclusive of points. I'll go looking for it.

Will play around and see how we can incorporate them.

Petracca is playing like someone who can't wait to leave.

No idea how to gauge Oliver's value with the off field issues and his long contract. And he seems to be about 70% of the player he was a couple of years ago.

Putting to one side the need to retain our picks for academy players, I think we would have to pay way too much for either in a trade.
