2025 Draw - hoping for MUCH softer

After being 'looked after' by the VFL thanks to the goalpost saga (and what that means is they gave us good time slots and prime time games - but also the hardest draw possible), I expect us to revert to normal. Thanks to Nicks stupidity and his defensive disaster, we should be kicked back off prime time and will probably end up in the backwater locations again.

Since Gather Round started we play 13 games in Adelaide. The other ten have had a fairly typical spread across the states.
One in WA,
one in NSW,
one in TAS,
two away games vs. Bris/GC, except in 2023 the GC game was in Darwin,
five in VIC:
two at MCG,
one at the Cattery,
two at Docklands (except in 2023 one that should have been there was in Ballarat.)

Hi Gents, it seems another poster perhaps accidentally started another thread on the same issue around the same time this one was created last week. To avoid all posters having to try and keep across both threads for draw related stuff, can they possibly be merged (ie cancel one of them and merge contents or whatever you recommend)

Lot's of passionate fans send the club emails... many complaining, but many more with ideas about all things: list management, coaching short comings, selection etc. You'd be really surprised how many!

Thanks Jenny, good to know I am not the only freak then haha. Well perhaps the only one that admits to doing it.
To be honest, started doing it with Trigg and Noble over a decade ago, then progressed through Fagan and crew into the current batch. Justin Reid has been as forthcoming as anyone over the years.
Without exception I have found on all replies received from Execs (the majority of times I email the club but no responses from AFL house) they have been very giving, professional and took any thoughts in a constructive - not defensive - manner.

It use to be the end of October until the last few years and give you now have the AFLW season then the National draft it has been moved to late November/early December.
The idea is to have AFL in the minds of everyone up to the end of the year.

Which hopefully means our new logo is released in week 2 of November?
I wouldn't mind a few more Sunday home games, particularly early season, smash a few beers before the game in the Sunshine, walk across the bridge, experience the game and home at a decent hour

Would have loved it before October 31 as Qantas have double status credits at the moment. Nearly at lifetime gold.

That's kind of what I meant. haha. We've just booked our OS holiday but would have liked to be informed as to the fixture. Going to be missing 5 games so hoping none up here.
I hate SUnday twilight. Dont mind the 12:00 Sunday slot. but everyone else seemed to hate them.
Apparently Channel 7 wants Sunday night games next year.

Tell them to **** right off.
Don’t Foxtel own the rights and then Seven are a subset of those rights.
Seven own the rights to Thgursday and Friday night games and Marquee games like Anzac Day and Easter Monday. Foxtel show all games but with channel 7 commentators at these times. Crows and port get all gmes on seven.

Can’t see Foxtel giving up the shows Bounce and First Crack which follow the twilight games so it can cover regular Sunday night games.
They have tried Sunday night games and attendances did drop off (school next day etc).

Before the AFL fixture. The AFL would want to put the logo on any fixture releases and the players will be back at training soon wearing the new merch with the new logo on it. early Nov im hoping for
