2025 Draw - hoping for MUCH softer

Those days are done and it just gets less when Tasmania come in as well, will have 10 teams outside of Melbourne.
Sad but probably true.

Maybe in the first couple of years they’ll send a few big Vic teams down there to build some momentum and get some fans travelling.

Medium term though, if Tassie gets good memberships and crowds, they are not going to send Collingwood or Carlton down there.

Which ones in particular?

Richmond playing first round and game before Anzac Day means they will get a crowd.

Noticed North Melbourne do get a game. Sydney don’t.
Hawthorn/Gold Coast, St Kilda/Bulldogs, Essendon/North

Does depend a bit on how these sides start.

We play St Kilda and Richmond, both at Adel Oval, in our first two games - according to Herald Sun

If Nicks can't start the season well with that draw, he never will

The Richmond rebuild will be on full show on Saturdays in Rounds 2 -3 with the Tigers slated to take on Adelaide away (Round 2) and St Kilda at Marvel Stadium (Round 3).

And St Kilda will have the chance to make a statement early taking on Adelaide away in Round 1, Geelong at Marvel Stadium on Saturday under lights in Round 2, followed by the Tigers in the twilight slot in Round 3.

Bring on the softness :)

Well that means we are playing away in Rounds 1 and 4 with home games in R2, R3 and R5 (Gather Round).

We aren’t, we must be away in Round 1.

Port are playing Collingwood at home in R1.
No mate, Port at G in round one,

What I posted from H/Sun said we were home in both round one and two

Fixture out first thing tomorrow but those games at home is exactly what I was hoping for

Essendon will also start the season against Gold Coast (PFS) on Saturday in Opening Round, Hawthorn (MCG) on Friday night in Round 1 and Adelaide (MCG) on Saturday afternoon in Round 2.

2 games in round 2. Got it.
