Looks like an 80-90 average would be good enough to fill F2-F6.

After losing Flanders, Heeney, Zorko and Caldwell, the next best average from last year was Moore who had an outstanding season given his position with a 92 average. All the rest were below 90.

I can see all of Smith, Macrae, Phillipou and Daniel averaging 85+, pretty much making them locks (keepers) Add in JHF and Rankine and there's the forward line finished. Set and forget if you will.

Round 0 scores won't have any bearing on whether I start the above players, the only thing that would change my mind would be a role reversal.

Think Moore can go 90 again. He will do it with 60s & 120's though so need to get on at right time.

Also a better than fair chance that Harry ends up as everyone's F1, assuming he gets forward rather mid dual position after round 6.

A smokey that I think could crack into the top 6 forwards this season is Brent Daniels.

If he plays more mid time like some of the games he did towards the end of last season then he could push to a 90+ average.

He definitely has the ceiling for it. That 171 he got in round 23 would look great in anyones forward line.

As opposed to the 58, 60 & 68 in the 3 games around that, which definitely wouldn't look good. ;)

He's definitely one to watch, especially after the departures, got an excellent defensive side but can roll forward and be a real threat too. His high scores last year were built on the back of tackles and could slot directly into Peatling's late season role.

I guess he'd have to average more time forward than in the mid rotation for that to happen, can't see that happening TBH, as he's too good to leave forward for extended periods, although resting forward may happen,

Kemp gone at 70 and 66 in that role the last 2 years

If the blues spread around Newman's points a bit there could be something half decent there
Think I prefer Maric at a similar price ....has great kicking skills, will CARL want the ball in Silvagni's hands ? .....or will he be more the interceptor ?

I dunno, but as I said Kemp managed to go ok there. It's not like theyd have to go out of their way to give it to him, just keep doing more of the same.

No reason you can't have maric and silvagni tbh

Rather take the punt on a rookie getting within 10 of him

I’m hoping we may get good coverage and rd 1 options via:
Hewitt
Curtin
Stone
Davidson (soundslike a wing/ high HF)
Hall

Let alone the high priced small forwards I’d rather avoid in Kako and berry

WCE still looking to extend Hutchinson's half game stint in the midfield from last season (only good thing to come out of the Geelong thrashing)

Half-forward Jack Hutchinson was also used in wing and midfield roles for the stronger 'blue' team,
