Trades 2025 Fantasy Round 3 Trades

Day - Knevitt
FOS - Farrell

Rankine and Dylan Moore targets over the next couple of weeks to shore up the FWD line. Hopefully JHF can rediscover some form soon. Holding Stewart (presuming he's back either this week or R4 v Melbourne) so my toxic relationship with him continues.
I think FOS will pump a score out sooner or later. North play that high possession game, so he'll be a beneficiary at some stage. I'm loathed to move him on from my side when he appears to be best 22 and not an immediate red dot or vest threat.

Thanks, that's an interesting perspective. My issue is that mid spots are at such a premium so the bar for rookies to achieve to keep their spot is higher than in other lines. Could perhaps trade Campo instead but he feels locked in the team too.

Can't believe you're considering carrying the cash on Finlayson's head for two weeks. He needed punting as soon as he wasn't named for R2.
It sounds ridiculous but I had no way of using DPP and getting the rookies I needed last week if I traded Finlayson.
I would have rather him sit there and not lose cash and play a rookie instead.
This week for eg I believe Davidson has a chance to outscore day - who I will play on field instead of Finlayson and then not lose any cash by holding him.

It does seem stupid I know 😂

Don't see him being sub again for a long time. Just wouldn't make sense.

But i do like Farrell, do have alot of R12 bye players but should easily be able to trade the rookies/non keepers on R12 bye, by then.

I could easily see him being subbed off regularly if they're cruising in a game as they're clearly wanting to manage his hamstrings. It's not like he was just a random name out of a hat to be subbed off on the weekend, it was with management of his body in mind. I think it's a reasonable flag.

Day > Lindsay is a must and locked. Will have $750k cash to upgrade.

Second trade I'm weighing up a few options. Have Hollands, Haynes, D Cameron (bye). Keen on Zorko although heavy rain forecast this weekend. He actually scored well in the rain against them last year but 60mm is something else.

Considering Cameron > Marshall as only costs around 140k to do. concern with Cameron is Cox was taking some of the Ruck work against the dogs and Roma has dropped in price and could go big over the next few.

There isn't anyone sticking their hand up in the forward line so I'm happy to stick with JHF and Sanders for now.

If Haynes isn't dropped (he probably will be) I'm happy to give him another week being best 18. Conditions and opponents haven't suited. I think Hollands can bounce back under the roof as well. Then next week upgrade Haynes + Hollands with about 600k in the bank to Daicos, thoughts?

Cameron to Roma, lock it in.
Taking 600k into next week isn’t a bad thing when it’s best 18. Instead of getting Daicos next week I would look at upgrading Haynes to a Farrell and Hollands to a Powell though

Yep I don't mind it man. Other option is going Hollands > Knevitt for the second trade and upgrade Cameron next week. score would hurt this week, but it might set me up better longer term. Knevitt is going at 1.05 PPM and had 78% last week. Could have 12 tackles in the wet this week and has the potential to average 90+ if he keeps this role.

This would provide about 850k for next week to target Roma, Zorko, Daicos over a 3 week period.

I depends I think. If you already have Lindsay + Ashcroft, I'd trade Perryman/Stewart. If not, I think Day > to Lindsay /Ashcroft is more important.

Yep I have them 2 rookies.

Atm I’m looking at Day to Knivett and Perryman to NWM.

Although I’m really hot on Powell, but the best I can get in that combo is Bowey (unless I traded Stewart instead of Perryman)

If you want Knevitt this is the last week to get him. Hollands probably bounces back this week and will get DPP however Carlton just burn him.
You can wait a week on RoMa with a high BE but he probably reaches it playing Nank this week

definitely trade Perryman over Stewart. The longer you hold him, the more you might give him a third or fourth chance to redeem himself

Yeah agreed.
It would only be Stewart this week to be able to afford to other 2 players I wanted.
Then Perryman would go the following week, but yeah injuries etc can happen and can easily end up being stuck with him.

Knowing that Day has a lovely Bedford tag coming his way this week, and is likely to drop in value...who is the better trade out - Sanders or Day?

Day can at least score while forward and had the second most CBA's last weekend, while Sanders got two. Could trade both I guess? Just depends on teams. Currently have Sanders traded while holding Day...but coming around to the idea of trading both of them and waiting on O'Sullivan, so I can just pull the plug.

Thoughts?

If you don't trade Day this week, you pretty much hold him through this tough period of Bedford tag, bye and possible Drew tag. Sanders doesn't have the role despite no Treloar and Bont.

Fair enough with the DPP stuff last week. I got a little caught out too. Although Finlayson isn't losing cash, he's also not making any as a dot and the cash can be used to get you more points on field/more cash being generated by a rook. I'd strongly advise punting him this week if not named.
