Fair enough with the DPP stuff last week. I got a little caught out too. Although Finlayson isn't losing cash, he's also not making any as a dot and the cash can be used to get you more points on field/more cash being generated by a rook. I'd strongly advise punting him this week if not named.
If Finlayson isn’t named this week I’ll punt him ahead of Garcia who is most likely going to get a game with the injuries.
Again, it will be a close watch with port playing thurs and saints Saturday….
If Finlayson is named and even named fwd, should swap in the ruck and make his BE. clearly not what I bought him for but atleast will make a tiny bit of cash before I punt him next week

Interested in people's thoughts about Callum Mills and Tom Stewart. Both very injury prone, but both with Top 6 defender scoring pedigree. Mills likely to be back either Round 4 or 5 priced at $759k. Stewart likely to bottom out at a similar price in Round 5 or 6 (depends if he is back this week).

Do we go there? Is there enough upside to ignore the risks?

Mills 2022 avg (22 games full time mid) = 111
Stewart average after transitioning to CBA role last year ~ 105

The reasons you mentioned is why I started Stewart.
Will be tough to pass up on when he bottoms out.
Also very prone to cop a first quarter sub.
I’ll likely hold as it sounds like he’ll probably only miss 1, but going forward he’s on my never again list.

This would be the flag for me. He got most of his stats when we were losing, a big part of which was the midfield dominance of the Saints. We turned that around after he was moved from the middle and in the last quarter scored just 5 points.

I would consider him as cash gen option, but I'd be worried about his scoring. The message may have been sent that we can't rely on him as part of the main inside mid rotation. Dangerfield may move back from the forward to strengthen it, or we may give more responsibility to Clark while Knevitt goes back to half back and/or is given vests.
Throw Smith back into the mix this week too. And a torrential rain match, although that may suit his slower moving, tackle heavy game style.

Day is 100% gone for me this week. I'm tossing up between Sanders and Garcia for the other trade out. If we have it confirmed Garcia is picked and unlikely to be in the vest, I think Sanders goes for me. Neither are moving the needle with top 18 scores, so may aswell use the additional $224k on Sanders head to get the team right for best 22 in Rd5.
Thing is Sanders plays Friday night so wont know if Garcia is sub or not, to risky to hold Garcia so he goes first.

The timing of matches is frustrating. I think I'm blindly holding onto the hope Garcia can start and put a score together on Richmond and restart his cash gen. Once I put my Day + Sanders trades in, I didn't need the additional cash (from Sanders) to get upto NWM/Sinclair and could comfortably get there with Garcia..

Mills 2022 average was with about 5 free tackles a game gifted by CD don’t forget

Was so ridiculous it reached meme status here

After a bit of thougt, it actually be worth holding off Lions players for one more week I think, the fact that it’s pissing down on Saturday yet again means Fantasy scores will be affected

In the same wet game last year only two players tonned up, Zorko and Berry and they were goal inflated tons too, the rest were all 90s and below

Toughest trade week so far. Seems to be three choices - keep up with low BE rooks, fix mid priced under performers or go nuts out sideways trading failed primos.

Even though I have Day, JHF, SDK and a litany of others I am so tempted to throw caution to the wind and chase points, especially during best 18 rounds.

Please talk me out of Gawn to Roma, or JHF to Rankine or even Rachele or Baker, or maybe even, forgive me father, Sheezel to Zorko or Whitfield.

I'm in the same boat re Gawn and JHF but those guys are likely top of their lines and you just have to hold them I reckon. I expect Port to bring in a tall this week so hopefully JHF finds his way back to the middle.

Have to agree on the Horne Bag, who do you trade him to outside of Rankine? Just seems pointless I think.

Knowing that Day has a lovely Bedford tag coming his way this week, and is likely to drop in value...who is the better trade out - Sanders or Day?

Day can at least score while forward and had the second most CBA's last weekend, while Sanders got two. Could trade both I guess? Just depends on teams. Currently have Sanders traded while holding Day...but coming around to the idea of trading both of them and waiting on O'Sullivan, so I can just pull the plug.

Thoughts?
that's exactly where i am aswell.. Screenshot 2025-03-25 152720.png

Can someone explain to me why Josh Dunkley's breakeven is 110? The guy was priced at 107, is averaging 120 after 2 rounds yet his breakeven is still higher than what he was priced at to begin the season?

Dawson traders' in kissed with the North matchup this week.
Might eat my words on this one but I’m not sure North are the juicy matchup they once were, especially not for mids. They’ve got a stack of midfield depth now and don’t tend to give up stacks of possession to opposition midfielders.

Trac struggled against them on the weekend, even before he went forward. Viney scored in the 80s as well. Only Oliver scored well against them but folks trading in Dawson would want more than 114 if he’s wearing the C.

Ditto the week before - none of the Dogs midfielders scored well against them bar Libba’s 109. Meanwhile the North mids racked up a stack of ball in a losing cause.

Food for thought.

For anyone who plays Bolter, coming 11th currently, would be 3rd without trading. (Lose 50 points per trade).

What sticks out to you to trade this week? I'm thinking, Sanders down to rook and Perryman up to Zorko, Whitfield or Sheezel? Not using the 3rd trade, also dont see myself going up with Sanders until we have more information on who the 6th best forward will be outside the 5 that i have.

Any other ideas?

Yes, yes talk them up for the week. I need his 140.

I hope he scores 75 by half time and the Crows are so far in front they do a Rankine and sub him off. Just for you 🤗
