we should play them in Tassie, especially with the Fagan connection.Yes, best we play them at the Gabba.
Well well well a Gold Coast Marvel game Round 5 considering we are playing them in the Gather Round in the Barossa valleyrd 1: Home Bunbury vs freo
rd 2: Home Perth vs Eagles
rd 3: Away Sydney vs Swans
rd 4: Home Hobart vs Port
rd 5: Home Marvel (Sunday 4pm) vs Gold Coast
The AFL announce the clubs been rewarded with 4 home games in the first 5 rounds. Melbourne based supporters are like WTF!
- North Melbourne players will have to Google "MCG" for them to remember how to get there on the one occasion we get scheduled to play.
- Our first home game at Docklands will be against Freo, the Suns, GWS or some other low drawing opposition
- All North Melbourne players can confidently make social arrangements for Thursday and Friday nights safe in the knowledge they won't be required to play football.
- Death, taxes and North playing at Pork Barrel Park against the Cats every year.
- Jason Horne-Francis will never play against North Melbourne at Docklands. Lock in the Power at Adelaide Oval.
- A potential 30k+ crowd against the Hawks will be wasted by playing them in Hobart in front of family and friends.
- Gather Round at some poxy suburban ground or country paddock.
- Free to air games will be Good Friday and...maybe one other.
I'd like to suggest:Only one announcement so far and I've already ticked off one from this list. Confident I'll get all 8.
And up goes the airfares and SA accomodation..

Got much room in that bus?I am driving myself over with a bus, looking forwards to a good win.
not if you're a Brisbane based member hoping to get a game up here....Lions last 2 years in Gather round, no games here last year, 1 on the GC the year before...yet the club just auto invoices for membership without any value whatsoever. That’s a decent result compared to previous years
I just told the club I’m not renewing my membership until I see the fixture. I’m not buying an interstate membership for one S.A game like last year. I’d rather buy a guernsey and gift it to a young supporter.not if you're a Brisbane based member hoping to get a game up here....Lions last 2 years in Gather round, no games here last year, 1 on the GC the year before...yet the club just auto invoices for membership without any value whatsoever.
Better off with a Lions flexi 10 membership,,,go to 10 games or 1 game and take 9 mates......so if we ever do play at the GABBA again (hopefully this year) can take the family and go along to some Lions games. That auto renew membership I think turns people away from staying on as members, as any value is fixture dependent. I am very disillusioned with NMFC membership department.
I've done the same this year (45 mins on hold to cancel auto renew)....and they'll just auto renew again if I buy a 3 game Melbourne membership just to say Im a member and support the club, just too much time wasting ....so decided not to renew for the first time since the 80s. Would rather just buy some raffle tickets, and buy game day tickets if I can make it to a game.I just told the club I’m not renewing my membership until I see the fixture.
