2025 Ladder Predictions

Just from watching footy over the past 35 years... seeing young teams overachieve in a year, come out the next thinking its just going to happen for them.. especially this Hawthorn group.. full of cocky arrogance and i just think (my opinion) that 2025 wont be as good as 2024 for Hawthorn. THATS ALL....
You can not overachieve its impossible you can only achieve what you are capable off.

The second statement is interesting because it is often the reason ppl try and tear down a person or a team. "Especially this team because of you know cockiness". Didn't stop many great sportsman and women and many great teams. In fact the thing that made them great was the cockiness, the self belief, the arrogance. Lets see if this Hawthorn group can live up to its own expectations.

35 years is long time to be watching football. I have been watching for little longer. In that time you should know that hawthorn have been very successful. Its not a fluke. Supporters from all other clubs seem to think so. Its like calling for the demise of Geelong recently. Its no fluke that they keep playing finals. The culture and the people they have at the club makes it happen. Proof is in the pudding, lets see what happens next year. Thanks for responding

Dockers really should be top4 with their list

Kudos for labelling our list with half a dozen 30yos as mature and not best 22 nursing home team of the century

This is deadset impossible, apart from Richmond/WCE/Saints/North being bottom 4 anything is possible.
But North surely has to rise next year.
So many teams ready to peak.
No one would surprise.

The bias on this thread is laughable.

Saw a Freo poster tip Freo to finish second. Freo are projected to finish 9th according to the bookies.

Saw a St Kilda poster tip St Kilda to finish 5th. St Kilda are projected to come 13th according to the bookies.

Let’s get serious for a second here and show some objectivity when doing your predictions.

For the record I had Melbourne finishing 13th next year.

Guarantee there will be at least one laughable prediction that ends up spot on or possibly even understated.

Who would have guessed Collingwood rise from 17th to 4th in 2022, GWS and Hawthorn from 16th to 7th in 2023 and 2024

Geelong would still call that as youthful
Gone from oldest list in a GF 2 years ago to the 5th oldest within two draft periods.
We've passed the Hector baton on.

That’s a pretty bizarre thing to do, lumping us in with those 3 teams, who won less games between the 3 of them this year than we did by ourselves (10 v 11). And who all had percentages which were at least 30 less than ours.

We won more games in just the last 8 weeks than any of them won all year and more in the last 8 weeks than two of them combined from their 46 games for the year!

For some reason there is a perception out there that we are guaranteed to finish bottom 4 next year. I don’t know where that comes from? Maybe because we now have the 4th youngest list but well Ross loves when we get written off so bring it on!

NGL, It made me physically ill to include them in my top 8.
In all seriousness though there's probably 15 teams that would be fairly bullish on their top 8 chances
When Tasmania joins you can leave WC out.

Although it might be a Final 10 by then which means you have to put them back in, and Geelong as well. So all Melbourne based teams miss out.

Question -will only the Grand Final be played at the M.C.G?

How many times are the bookies spot on?

Wasn’t Hawthorn predicted for the spoon this year?

Looking at predictions this year it seem much less biased then previous years.
