Yes it is. We were carrying at least 6 B- players in 2013. Ross just got them playing out of their skins. Its not better than 2013.. not yet

We still have at least 6 B- players, they’re just young and have potential to develop into more than that, which is why everyone is so excited.Yes it is. We were carrying at least 6 B- players in 2013. Ross just got them playing out of their skins.

Sandi, Mundy, Barlow, Crowley, Fyfe would bludgeon Darcy, Serong, Brayshaw, Fyfe, Young in a style of stoppage after stoppage grind.
Because Fyfe is much older and past it. If we manage to recruit Warner then it would be line ball.
I wanted to leave Fyfe out entirely for that reason but the size of the 2013 midfield is substantially bigger than our current, unless Johnson and Erasmus are key players
You needed to leave him in because he's still getting game time at the moment. I'm hoping that Johnson plays more in and under and overtakes Fyfe. Erasmus ditto. Only because it will benefit our chances of winning a premiership.
Stoppage work the former are bigger and would out muscle todays team. That's why I can see the importance of one more A grade midfielder if Johnson and Erasmus doesn't come on as needed.
It's like Freo are 1 piece of the puzzle away regarding list management and that's why I slightly prefer Warner to Kossie. We may not get both.
Yeah, Johnson is our greatest hope of a mid taking that next step and it would add the size and grunt we are missing in there outside of Young.
Absolutely, hence why I said it SHOULD be - however at some point that talent has to back it up with actual results otherwise it simply becomes a an opinion.Talent and results are two completely different things.
I agree that this list has achieved next to nothing.
I also agree it’s the most talented list we’ve had.

Actually, you’re right, most of our B- players are older but still getting games because the promising kids haven’t surpassed them yet, here’s my 6 that played the majority of 2024 with games played in ()Disagree.
Bolton replaces Walters or Banfield.Actually, you’re right, most of our B- players are older but still getting games because the promising kids haven’t surpassed them yet, here’s my 6 that played the majority of 2024 with games played in ()
Fyfe (22)

Aish (20)
Draper (20)
Walters (17)
Imagine thinking a win over a grand finalist team is worth erasing from memory. Not sure I want to watch any game where we had a fourth quarter capitulation tbh - even a game where a poor shot after the siren meant we got the four points. I’m preferring to erase that from my memory as much as possible and hope for better in 2025.

I agree wholeheartedly, but was replying to a post that said 2013 had at least 6 B- players, 2024 freo team had at least the same, more if you consider Emmett played 13 games and he’s not even on the list in 2025. Hughes (6) and Tabs (5) reinforces that while we have a load of potential, we are still around the same position as the 2013 team until all the following take a step up: NOD, Chapman, Johnson, Ras, Reid, Simpson. While we also need a return to fitness/form for Darcy, Cox and Pearce to ensure we aren’t relying on depth players like Reidy, Draper and McDonald.Bolton replaces Walters or Banfield.
Draper is young and will improve. Started as C- early and late b-. Expected him to be a B grade late 2025.
Reid is unknown at the moment but could possibly replace either Walters or Banfield.
Fyfe could improve on his 2024 form if he can get his body right. Massive question mark.
Aish will be fighting for a spot with NOD and Wagner on the wing and half back.
JOM has Johnson, and Erasmus fighting for his spot in the midfield.
Are you suggesting Bolton for sub?Bolton replaces Walters or Banfield.

Oh Lordy, that was great midfield!Sandi, Mundy, Barlow, Crowley, Fyfe would bludgeon Darcy, Serong, Brayshaw, Fyfe, Young in a style of stoppage after stoppage grind.
Is it a bird? Are you suggesting Bolton for sub?
Meant our fourth quarter performances in general. If it were a one off I’d probably want to rewatch the game for sure but I’m not sure how much I want to relive any fourth quarter fade-out - if we’re 30 points up this year at 3/4 time and the opposition kick the first two goals of the quarter it’ll take me a few wins and half the season to not automatically think ‘here we go again’ tbh.
Would argue clark is already a grade?Absolutely, hence why I said it SHOULD be - however at some point that talent has to back it up with actual results otherwise it simply becomes a an opinion.
Also whilst we certainly have a “better “ bottom end with our current team I think a few on here really are underrating that 2012-15 teams top end
Its ahead of the current crop unless a few the likes of Johnson, Jackson, Clark, Reid or Chapman step up to genuine A/A+ grade
Considering he was in the All-Australian squad of 40, its mostly yes.Would argue clark is already a grade?
Or Jackson.I wanted to leave Fyfe out entirely for that reason but the size of the 2013 midfield is substantially bigger than our current, unless Johnson and Erasmus are key players
Or Jackson.
At the moment we seem to have lost our way with Jackson and his inner unicorn.
