Niners will probably have some competition for Saleh though, could see the Lions being very interested if Glenn gets the HC job with the Saints as expected.

I think a lot of that was ulbrich had a lot more head coach responsibilities and no one able to pick up the slack since imagine with salah firing being so out of the blue had no one able to step up.

Talking more about the undisciplined shit with penalties and missed tackles each week rather than just scheming. Really bad reflection on Ulbrich who didn't make an example of anyone, he would have seen the film after each game and nothing changed.

Has he lost the locker room ?
He and the GM were asked questions about their exit conversations with Hill. Basically that "he didn't ask for a trade" to imply things weren't bad.
Mike has a really rough year. When you pump up and believe in your players they may think they're better than they actually are.
Losing Tua really hurt them and not have a great backup is the reason why they're not in the playoffs.

Apparently Vrabel is interviewing with the Patriots on Friday Oz time, so if he has interest in that job it could wrap up quite quickly.
I'm on the fence about him. His staffs in Tennessee weren't anything to write home about outside of Arthur Smith - he churned through lots of coordinators on both sides of the ball. I just think he may be a tad overhyped because of the Boston media market who are extremely influential in NFL circles.

Matt LaFleur was OC before Smith under Vrabel, 27th overall offense under him but still, shows he recognises talent with his first two OC's going on to become HC's.

And then the OC after Smith was Todd Downing who imo is one of the worst OCs in the NFL of the last decade.

They cant all be winners, its inevitable. Kyle Shanahan has run thru DCs since Saleh left.

My intimate knowledge of Todd Downing though just gives me so much pause with Vrabel. His track record prior to becoming OC was terrible. He should have not been anywhere near a coordinator position.
Demarco Ryans for 2 seasons, Wilks for 1, now Sorensen for 1.
Defense personnel couldn't wait to be rid of Wilks but they all spoken positively about Sorensen.
I think they still rate/like him and will find another role (maybe Special Teams as that shit is trash)

Bears are interviewing way too many people for head coaching job should be max 5 not the 15 they are likely to do.
