Well yeah, we know it's meant to be vacation time and we've likely all seen various holiday snaps from the players

But for some dedicated players, they're already back at it in preparation for 2025

For those looking to share photos, discussion of what's happening or whatever pre-season related - have at it here

Looks like the green says 10kg - so this could match what Scratcher is using and we can then calculate how much is on the bar

View attachment 2153776

I'm going 70kg each side for a total of 140kg if my calculation is correct
That looks like the one! Thanks

Add 20kgs for the bar from memory for a 160kg rep.

Would love to see his form doing that squat because for most tall people, squats with the right technique, is a tough proposition.

Really no need to go so heavy. End up ruining his knees in the long run.

It has disappeared from his insta but the personal trainer he is with works with a ton of afl players. Scratcher works with him every summer. Remember when he went back to Perth for a few months mid-season in his first year? Spent the whole time with this guy basically. Not his first rodeo

So the drop sitters will continue then.

I love love love Neale's dedication to improve upon himself each summer.

He could explode in any moment next year. He is at least doing the work to make it happen.
Absolutely agree. I think he has the talent. He clearly has the dedication. And his demeanour suggests that he is a team-first operator in everything as well.

Still have high hopes for him to really emerge in the next couple of years.

If HE can develop a vice like grip then he there. Just don't drop sitters.

A guy by the name of Tom Hawkins dropped a lot of sitters in his early years. Worked out ok for him.

Note: Not saying Neale is Hawkins. But as a big key forward who I believe didn't play forward as a junior, Shannon still has time to come good. And I reckon he will. Nobody could say he's not giving himself every chance. Time'll tell.

I have said it in a few threads but if you take the averages for Neale this year and extrapolate that over a full year he kicks around 40 goals whilst straightening us up, providing an outlet and some ruck work.

So even if he doesn't improve he would still be a handy forward but chances are since he has played so few games he will improve the question is how much.

Can he become a 60+ year forward fighting for the Coleman??? maybe.

I think some of us are to used to having superstar/all time great forwards like Hawkins and Cameron that we grade Neale a little harshly.
