It may be bias but I feel like he's provided a spark every time he's been given a chance in there.
It’s probably because his desire to win the ball is on the top echelon in the comp. He doesn’t care about size and throws himself into contest after contest, at times winning the ball simply because he’s wanted it more

Eh. I actually kind of disagree. A 10K run is not really transferrable to a game of football. Players will also rarely train in a way that reflects this level of endurance. Hence why clubs prefer the yo-yo test as a mechanism, because it involves short bursts and very short recovery times, reflecting the running style you'll see in a game of footy. Training is much closer to a hybrid of anaerobic/aerobic that tests both energy systems, such as repeat 400m sprints.The game is heading this way. You need players with good 2k time trails yet even more important is 10k. This is the stamina clubs are looking for. Its happening all over the country at junior levels. The best kids are now athletes, involved in run clubs, cross countries etc.
