Can't get my head around the reports regarding Allen, Western Australian that supported WC and is the current captain but wants out.....Sorry, it doesn't compute, wants a pay rise by increasing interest, don't get me wrong, fantastic footballer but really!

Seems like Media trying to make a Rumor True

I be shocked IF Allan was playing for anyone else except the Eagles in 2026

EFA. If I had to guess I’d say the off field culture is absolutely toxic over there at the moment (probably in no small part due to the West Australian). I also don’t know if he was a great choice as captain. It may well have been a “best of what we have” option.

We would also be hoping that Steene or Roo kicks on. I’ve got a feeling Cameron will want to leave. He’s going to want to get paid- which is fair enough.

Don’t see why would we pay him 1 million when he’s 30 years old in 4 months. He could probably get a 4 million 4 year deal from WCE.

Would we do that?
If we’re paying Perryman what he’s on then why not? Cameron is top 3 by position league wide, IMO, and deserves to be on a fair chunk more than Perryman.

I’m by no means barracking for it and doubt it will happen, but in a scenario where he did leave it might free us up to take a run at both Rowell and Allen (Rowell through the trade currency and Allen through the salary savings). That would definitely help with our age profile.

It would though mean we need to bring Smit through this year whenever possible and have Cox for at least 1 more season.

Have you been hacked or have I? My original post was regarding Allen not Barrass!

That was me which I acknowledged with the use of EFA (edited for accuracy). You don’t find the Barrass and Allen scenarios remarkably similar? WA locals, playing for the club they grew up barracking for and perhaps underpaid relative to what they can get elsewhere. On face value it seems a rinse and repeat of last year.

Not to mention his dodgy knee 🥴

Allen played through some injury troubles in his 11 AFL games last campaign and has since been told that his knee has degenerated somewhat and resembles a knee of someone in their late 30s or early 40s despite the forward being just 25 years old. 1116sen. 21 Nov 2024
Agree- the injury history suggest he’s a definite pass, unless it’s a rock bottom price which seems inconceivable.

I wouldn’t entertain any possible trade of Bobby before he plays 100 games for us.
For potentially 10 years of Nick + Reid as our midfield combo, I would.

As long as we’re confident on his character that he would put the hard yards in a better environment, because his pre season shape and his performance last week was not up to standard.

He's not leaving WC. Just as Maynard, Hill and Cameron are not leaving Collingwood.
Sick of reading all the rumours and crap here.

Then at the Moment don't read this Thread as nothing can Happen yet

"What everyone needs to understand, and what's changed in the industry, players talking to other clubs when they're a free agent - hey guys, it's all okay, it's fine. If a club comes at Brayden, and we do our very best, whatever we can do to get in front of him, our very best with Tommy Petroro, and Bruzzy to show him our love financially and within our TPP. But if someone desperately wants him and wants to pay him a heap more for a longer period of time, everyone should be going 'good luck mate' if that opportunity's there. We'd love you to be here, we want you to be here but that is something the industry's gotta get its head around and then people just need to relax a bit and go - everyone's talking to everyone when they're becoming a free agent and it's the reality of life and it's a great opportunity for the players. That's all they've got and it's a short career. So let them have the opportunity to max it out, but we'll do everything within our power to keep him at our club."

If we get Rowell, I'm penciling in the 2026 flag.
