Surely he's not a better pick than Hurley bno1

In my view he is, I rated Hurley where he was picked in his draft, I rather Heppell at 2. That said I am glad to have both of them at our club. At least being awful last year got us Heppell. That is one positive. I see Heppell as our Goddard to be honest, that is how much I rate him. A grade skills off both feet and A grade endurance, what more do you want in a MPP player to be honest. I hope he is played on the ball more than in the backline though!

Care to elaborate?

You rapped Conca in your last sentence.

So both of you are giving opinions after seeing NAB Cup Game - Nothing new about it !

At least I predicted last month that Heppell will win the B and F in 2013 or 2014.;),

You know those players who, when they get the ball, you just feel relaxed because you know that he's going to do something with it and not cough it up or turn it over?

Heppell's already one of those guys for me.

Good signs. :)

Lloydy said something along those lines last night, cant remember the exact wording but those were the calls coming from some of the senior players.

Yeah he said people at the club rate him as our best pick for atleast 6-7 years, probably longer.

yes, but what extensive game watching of TAC and under 18 matches are you basing this on?

Quite a bit over the last few years, however not as much last year as I had just had a child. I saw Heppell enough though to say how good his kicking was. Nowadays, you can be fast all you want but if you can't kick the thing you are useless!

1. Hurley
2. Zaharakis
3. Pears
4. Heppell
5. Melksham

Really like the look of young Browne too he looks like he could be a great player for us and may even jag a few games. Could prove to be a very smart draft for us last year.
