Great to have Balta resigned but I reckon he is going to be very expensive to resign again in 2 years as if he fills his potential he will field some massive offers.

If he is living up to that level then we have to pay. A pretty good problem to have.
The worse outcome is if in two years time the hype is growing but the actions are not keeping up with the hype and we are being asked to pay for potential

Athletically, he has the biggest potential of any player we have had since a young 90s Richo was running around.
Pretty much so...just generates excitment when he moves!
My jaw dropped when I saw this (my pants too). We tend to throw the term "he can be anything" around a lot, but holy christ this guy has the tools to be something really really special.
Lets enjoy the ride!

Took my son to the Riolis Rookies clinic at punt road a little while ago and got Noah to sign his jumper. A really nice bloke who went to great effort to have a chat with my shy son.
I asked him if he could repeat his under 18s goal from the centre at some point this season. He replies “you’re going back a bit there, I just need to get selected every week.”
As I walk away I hear him telling the VFLW player next to him the story of his booming goal in great detail. Been trying to convince my son to get number 38 on his jumper since!

What is awesome about this kid is he is an athletic freak but he knows how to get the footy. So many of these x-factor kids that get drafted on athletic ability 'could be anything' but end up nothing because they have to be taught how to play.

Under yours and others' advice I have corrected the original post. I have no wish to offend, was just trying to join in the banter regarding Caroline Wilson. I think the Croatian(I actually used the other term because I had momentarily forgotten what part of that former state Maric, Soldo and Balta had shared in their heritage) connection that started with Maric has been noticeably positive for the club in more than just the footballing sense. Noah Balta seems to have been handled supremely by the club. They challenged themselves to play him even when his role was not obvious and are now reaping the early rewards of having a very damaging second ruckman. I was very surprised to see posters on here calling for Balta to be dumped earlier in the season, his talents are and were obvious. Very pleased he has not been picked off by a Tom Boyd type offer that recognises his enormous potential. If I were a rival club recruiter I would not have hesitated over making a $500k x four year type offer, and would have even considered going higher and longer depending on the club. He is a bit like Franklin in some ways, though a lot stronger and doesn't have the turtle neck instinct when flying for marks with pressure from behind. He is, as my Croatian friends used to be fond of saying, dobro, dobro, but ne mozak.

He is a unrestricted FA and IMO we will want to play Garth ahead of him next year.
If he gets the right offer i think we would say just take it.
IMO Hawks/GC/Brisbane may offer him big coin to finish off his career.
He will be 30 next year as well
