I must say this is a perfect example of why injuries can be good. Not only do you unearth players but now best 22 players have a rocket up their asses to perform. I joked at the Hawks game Cotchin will need to earn his spot via the VFL when he's fit. I'm starting to think Its a serious comment and not a joke.

Don’t know why, but I kind of want to see him do the grand final sprint (if we aren’t in the grand final).

heard prestia say he reminds him of a very young rance. raw as but with loads of talent.
I recon number 20 would appeal to him with it being Ivan’s old number
Balta uses the ball by hand and foot surprising well for someone supposedly raw. Rarely puts a team mate in trouble with his decision making even under pressure. Far better than Rance in this respect at the same age. (Far better than most ruck/key position players in their first season I can think of.)

I thought the main part of his rawness was his occasional running to the wrong spot/taking himself away from where he can have an impact as opposed to his disposal...but to be honest i've not really noticed any issues with the former either (though that could just be his athleticism getting him out of trouble)
