I'll support him wholeheartedly. I've been emphatic in my rating of him as a player.

But am disappointed it's gone this far with him OOC. All our good players will have their heads turned and some choose to back the club in asap and clearly he's not in that camp.

Being emphatic of course doesn’t make one correct Mr KC.

I too have been emphatic in my rating of Mr Magoo.
He was horrid at training apparently and a few got frustrated with him.

I stand by we don’t want him if the compo is worth more. I’d suggest a pick 3 through 10 would do it.

We are playing this well. So I’m in the clubs corner.
Imagine if we’d signed him for 750k over six or years.

When you’re trying to implement defensive systems and ball movement, and a particular dopey bastard is scuffing kicks and missing targets 15m away, it causes angst amongst the coaching staff.

Not sure what band 2 compo is, but if we had a sniff that band 1 was on the cards, it’d be hard to keep a straight face.

I’m not saying the big campaigner can’t play. He knows how to clunk them. But it seems we’re trying to imple a zone defence and precise ball movement from defence. It’s not really playing to Ben’s strengths.

not so surprising with 18 clubs ea having 38 pax lists. look back at 80s VFL sides, now they were star studded. even fitzoy and St Kilda who were celler dwellers at the time had champions.

Barker , Sidebotton, Cunningham, Geoff Ablett, and Plugger , Roos Thomas, Pert, Blakey, Quinlen, for example.

Compare that to us who have struggled the last few years who before the emergance of LDU really only had Goldy and Cunners as A graders.

Sits fifth for marks and second for contested marks with a per game average of 1.33.

Average is a very good word to describe Magoo.

You're cherry picking players from different eras there. So we only had 2 x A graders. Of the teams you mentioned, they only had 2 of the players you listed at any one time, or at least for more than a brief cross over.

We are going to reach critical mass with rucks and ruck forwards very shortly. If the plan going forward is to replace Goldy with Xerri, and to have either CCJ or Comben play forward ruck, then to me, the one who misses out is too good to languish in the VFL and perhaps should be given a chance to play in defence JUST LIKE MCKAY WAS.

I would also give Jacob Edwards a last chance saloon run in the backline in the VFL to see if there's a lightbulb moment for him.

Boggles my mind that if that’s his weakness he’s not out kicking 10,000 15m kicks forever and a day in practice
