Not sure that Ben was that bad of a pick. Not looking great for him obviously, but the entire 2015 draft is looking very ordinary. In the 10 picks after Ben the only one looking good is Dunkley, and there were concerns about his kicking at the time.

As TBL said, the 3 year contract is the bigger issue. Just glad that in general the last couple of years we’ve been more willing to cut players that don’t look like making it. Hopefully that continues.

They have to get a game first. McKay is still a baby in KPD terms.

21 is an awesome pick generally but that was a pretty shit draft. Josh dunkley went a few picks later but nothing much else.

One thing i always say about Mckay. 2018 was the season where mckay deserved a go but scott screwed him. When Waite went down Scott should've brought Mckay in and played Majak fwd till Waite got back. Majak showed some good signs fwd that season. He kicked 4 against sydney 3 against collingwood and was showing great signs. Obvs it was great seeing majak thrive down back that season but our fwd line was terrible having only brown and wood. That season it should've either been majak fwd mckay back or larkey in to take waites roll. Larkey at the time won the vfl goal kicking and was in good form. A season that was a waste for the development of these players, then next season Mckay gets struck down with pnemonia and other injuries.

He appears to be bereft of confidence. Reckon if he could believe he has what it takes it could be a completely different story. From a physical standpoint there is no reason he cant be a force in the air like Harry. Hope he makes it, seems like a really good kid.

It was known at draft time that he was very green. I expect the three year contract was so that he could concentrate on development and not worry about the exact speculation that's happening here.

I think he has the tools to play a role like Taz one day, and he was toweling up the good VFL full forwards consistently when he had continuity.

It all comes down to how his footy smarts have developed since he's been out from playing.

Comben will overtake him pretty quickly if he can get out there consistently.

Smarter, more intent and seems pretty good below his knees for a big bloke. All elements Bmac lacks.

Can't see either of them being on the list post 2021 season. Investing games in them does not seem a priority right now, as Josh Walker has already gone past them in the KPD pecking order.

Walker 27 and 86 games on his 3rd club. Will wait and see how he goes before I would say he has gone past them

Walker was picked for Round 1 ahead of BMac and Durds when all were fit - by definition that means Walker has gone past them in the pecking order.
