So Jones gets a week for a good tackle where there was no head hitting the ground
The head did hit the ground, a replay from the other angle showed it. I was surprised it wasn't a North free when I saw the tackle live. Dont know why everyone is up in arms about it. Pretty straightforward case.

By the rules it was a dangerous tackle, and deserved a punishment. I was just hoping it would be a fine, given that the North player wasn't injured.

Probably using the ban to give him a break against a side we dont really need a full team against, whilst also giving at least one or both of caddy/Bryan a go.
Still absolutely shocking that this was reported in the first place, let alone a suspension.

Look it's shocking, but as a silver lining you'd probably rather it have been Jones going out over the other forwards any day of the week. Particularly when Jones' form has been down a bit anyway. We got somewhat lucky in a weird way.

The other way to look at it is that you want him playing week in week out so he can develop the consistency that's needed & not be sidelined by a weak AF ruling.

You can elbow someone to the head and get a fine but tackle with a bit of venom and have a week off.

Christian is a running joke and if I could give him one piece of advice it would be that you were a terrible footballer and even worse administrator, it's time to give the job to Stevie Wonder who would see the game better than him.
Christian has had it against Essendon since 1990 when he shit his pants at 1/4 time.

Caddy in, or will it be Cox?

Don't think it's a choice between them. Cox can come in anyway.

As for Caddy, 2 goals a piece in his last 2 outings. Has earned his stripes and simply must play.

Yeah but would you want that weak AF ruling coming down on someone who's kicked 2 goals in the last 4 matches, or a Wright or Stringer? We kinda dodged a bullet.
