Youre potting a young spine player playing in his 8th game......There are two Durdins playing surely. The lazy one who needs to be off the list ASAP and the one that goes balls out and needs to stay for ten years.

You care to comment on the whereabouts of the Goldstein from 2015?
Interesting take, and noted but I'll side on past history of said poster. My guess is that this post is actually DR having a go at some of the criticism the kid copped about how he looked playing rather than how he actually played.
Reread the subsequent post I'm probably wrong.Interesting take, and noted but I'll side on past history of said poster.
Its only a forum OF......opinion based. Everyone has one and is entitled to share theirsReread the subsequent post I'm probably wrong.
According to the CD ratings he was second best on for us:
Interesting that Rich is at the top and then Tarrant. I didn't think either were especially influential, and while Tarrant was unquestionably very good, it was a low degree of difficulty game for him.
CD really love long kicks to advantage.
Interesting comparison.Has no trouble finding the ball. Could end up a Westhoff type.
Nice he recognises his need to increase intensity as that is all that is lacking in his game. I can see him being our second ruck/Utility, this era's McKernan.
I reckon Nielsen is more of a back pocket than a CHB, Tarrant is part of our next premiership side and also I still think Larkey is far from a lock to make it. Not saying he won't of course, and he's shown some great signs, but I'm yet to be convinced that he will be able to cut it as a KPF against AFL defenders. Baring that in mind, and with McKay and Durdin being able to play either end as the side needs, I reckon our next premiership spine isAgree. He's the flaoter.
McKay/Neilsen/Larkey/Brown will be the spine.
EVW = defensive tweener

Durdin/Mckay
Preuss
Durdin/McKay
Brown - Wood
With the likes of Larkey, Daw and a few draftees as potential backup
I love the versatility that McKay and Durdin give us, with their differing attributes plus their obvious talent and athleticism, the coaches can switch them over if say a key forward is getting off the chain, or we think that Durdin's speed or McKay's aggression could expose an opposition defense.
I reckon, given he's in the best shape of his life and how much of his career his body has let him down, Taz could well play until he's 34, which is another 5 years until 2022. I think we could well be back in contention by 2020, and competing for 2-3 years with him at fullback.I'm afraid he isnt......next start of the season he is 29.
I hate to say this but.....unless we score real top quality people this october. He might as well be offered as trade bait, while he has HUGE value.....do the right thing by him and our futur players down back.....keep Thompson for another year.
We have to be smart about it , not emotional.
No disrespect, but I'm siding on the weight of numbers here......might be smart to keep him one more year then let him free to win a flag.I reckon, given he's in the best shape of his life and how much of his career his body has let him down, Taz could well play until he's 34, which is another 5 years until 2022. Good. Should be given one to eat each night too.Has been working on a farm sheering sheep in his time off.
