I can't believe we are potentially going to lose one of our top 5 talents because he is an immature d**k who cant stay off social media. There would be a lot of vacant list spots if every AFL club got rid of all their d**kheads. Especially in the under 23 category.

What if the female "victims" are just as toxic and immoral as him? Does that change things? I'm not denying he has behaved poorly and is more than likely a major d**khead, but unless more serious "crimes" come to light, I just don't give a f**k.

Phil, sure, he's a wonderful role model.

But Jim served two stretches in jail before we even recruited him from WA. The first was for rape and the second was for running over and killing a road worker with his car. While he was playing for us, he was convicted of multiple instances of sexual penetration of a minor - a girl under 16 years of age, albeit that it was a consensual relationship. There were also charges of assault, abduction and unlawful imprisonment. And finally, when his playing career ended, there were drug trafficking charges. Jim was arguably dealt with harshly by the courts, especially on the drug trafficking charges, but that's a rap sheet that Tarryn Thomas doesn't come anywhere near by comparison. Just to be fair.

Need someone like Jim or even Bennell to have a chat about the regrets that have cost them years of freedom or football opportunities

Social media is only part of his problems - probably the most public. The club is not just acting to fulfil some sort of 'woke' agenda. Trust them on this. They won't throw away a million dollars because of a few text messages.

There was a charge in relation to violating an AVO but that charge was withdrawn when it was found to be completely without merit.

Fair call but there may or may not be. Behaviour that warrants the arse doesn't have to be dependant on charges. Bad behaviour may be more immoral than illegal but have similar results, especially when TT has agreed to a plan to 'educate himself' but then doesn't meet his obligations. Anyway, I respect your point but there is still a lot happening so we will soon see. TT has run out of chances I think but that's just my opinion.

Ego death etc doesn't mean what you think it does. You could come out of that particular experience thinking that because you've been at one with the universe everything is perfect exactly how it is and you don't have to do any work on self development. Its not shattering your ego and experiencing the universe from a perspective beyond anyone's ego that helps here. Its experiencing the universe from the perspective of an ego that suffered because of your behaviour. Thomas needs to learn to understand and control his ego not expose him to something that can genuinely cause meglomania.

We don't know why he was stood down. Why put SPECULATION in the thread name - leave that for Damien Barrett and Kane Kornes.

Watch Clarko and Viney talk in the presser today. They are not speculating, or getting emotional. They are saying they will support Taryn, and let the process and investigation be carried out.

As I have written before, leave the hating to the haters, lots of non-North people out there potting Taryn.

Let's be rationale and chill while it is sorted by people with experience (Viney, Sonya, our CEO, AFL integrity, and others at the club).

No...they are talking about how Tarryn is harassing women again on social media.

Its a very bad look for him. Its a bad look for the club. Its means the media stop focussing on the good coming out of North, and put the spotlight on the one negative -Tarryn.

I hate how with one stupid action, Tarryn can change the narrative for the NMFC - from positive, to negative.

There are fresh allegations, he has been stood down indefinitely (as in not with an end date because it's pending). It's indefinite because there isn't a defined date as to when it ends.

no it's not a guarantee he'll think differently, but i think a lot everything that's going on with him is ego based. threats to distribute images sounds like his ego is bruised and he wants to hurt them back. his latest post also seems like he simply cannot let it go, despite risking his career he still persists to respond to this woman/women.

It seems like he's been mixing with the wrong sort of women that know exactly how to push guys buttons. of course this isn't excusing his behaviour, i just think he's emotionally immature and his ego is bruised, not a typical woman beater.
