So look, the last time something like this happened, TT popped up with a new tattoo. I think he'll be stinging over the weekend with just about everyone else in the squad running out and him being excluded indefinitely. So, I'm thinking we should all be expecting him to do something really stupid and to plaster it all over social media (maybe Saturday night) to show everyone how cool he is with the whole situation. It's probably better for our psyches if we prepare ourselves for it. Any guesses? I'm going with posting an explicit deep fake of his accuser taking a money shot.

I thought he was charged with breaking a court order in relation to DV accusations. Hard to keep track. Abuse, DV, threats, its all much worse than recreational drug use. Every club now has an AFLW program and the last thing you want is someone like Thomas coming to your club.

Unless you're doing it "underground", you can't access MDMA and psilocybin as therapeutic drugs in Australia until July.

And you'd have to be able to convince your doctor that you have treatment resistant PTSD (for the former) or depression (for the latter) if you want to go down that path.

AFAIK there’s only one organisation in Australia that offers professional training on psychedelic therapy at the moment.

You’d have to think the market demand will grow exponentially though.

that's true, hopefully that won't lead to poor adaptation of it, but I have a lot of faith in it as a first step. I've a keen interest in it's expansion.

I’m pretty keen on it. My psych thinks it’s worth a shot because other therapy hasn’t really helped.

I could make you preparations of some of those concoctions, and others with plants and fungus I can find within a km of where I'm sitting now. And probably change you entire worldview with them, just randomly, if you wanted. Well i probably wouldn't do it any more except to close friends in certain circumstances.

Ego death etc doesn't mean what you think it does. You could come out of that particular experience thinking that because you've been at one with the universe everything is perfect exactly how it is and you don't have to do any work on self development. Like when Homer says "We're all fine exactly as we are."

Its not shattering your ego and experiencing the universe from a perspective beyond anyone's ego that helps here. Its experiencing the universe from the perspective of an ego that suffered because of your behaviour. Thomas needs to learn to understand and control his ego not expose him to something that can genuinely cause meglomania.

Well that would be cheaper than a trip to a Mexican desert, and I could catch a footy game after. Should I DM to make a booking?

not to bang on about it, but part of the great potential is that it could actually be a do-over for already tried therapies. I can't recall the particular therputic framework they've used in the studies, probably something CBT based would be my guess, but the micro-dosing is intended to help emotional expression, clear mental blocks on topics, help facilitate understnading alternate perspectives on things, etc.

Anyways, super cool, hope it explodes and redefines the industry.

Exactly. I made the same point when Ziebell stepped down, our co-captains appointed and Cunners charity cancer day - absolute zilch from him but was posting other irrelevant crap, but not one thing in support of his teammates. Says a lot about him.

Restrictions on that ease midyear tho, as old mate said. About bloody time. Ridiculous that something with so much promise can take so long to be implemented, even to this minimal extent
