Such an interesting question. What is the trigger point for dismissal and no payout? Does it exist? I don't know the terms of players contract so it is an interesting question.
The CBA for AFL players mentions termination clauses relating to "serious misconduct or repeated misconduct", but where exactly that line is drawn, well your guess is as good as mine.

You'd think being found guilty of a serious criminal offence would be an example though.

I suppose they would 'negotiate' a way out if needed.

You can have a contract terminated for misconduct. The AFL can also deregister players for 'conduct unbecoming'. IINAL, there might be other things.

If I was his parent I'd be locking that shit down and moving into his life good and proper for a while.

If it means that TT turns his life around I can live with that.

That's a nice thing to say....

Club loses a top 10 draft pick (8).
Club is losing a spot on the list it could have had a young bloke who ACTUALLY gives a sh!t.
Club is being dragged through the mud, whenever Tarryn has an "I'm a Gangsta episode"
Club has paid Tarryn handsomely for potential he showed 2 years ago...

But after all North have given Tarryn, he is still not happy.

Maybe Tarryn can have a coffee with Jesse Smith about wasting an opportunity, as compared to being robbed of the opportunity to play AFL?

Dumbo might learn something...

He'd be a "light soy, luke warm, flambe latte in a tea cup" drinker. Gangsta tuff

Don’t blame TT for utterly ridiculous money we threw at him after 8 or so games of brilliance.

Viney must have been pissed off that Brady and his underlings chucked away that sort of capital at potential and not proven performances.

The funny thing is that we have had history of throwing well, well over market price for youngsters on nothing but potential.

Or Kieran Harper. Or Aaron Black. Or David Trotter. Or Tom Curran. F***

Even Josh Gibson could sit down with him and explain what it’s really like to be baller, you can chose between scoring a few drink cards or sitting front row at ny fashion week after banging a pussy cat doll.
All you have to do is put the work in and become successful

Pretty much. From the outside looking in anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if it wasn't for the hawthorn stuff we would of got stuck in more to guide this young man over the past 6 months, instead of contracting it out. I mean clearly Clarkson is particularly limited in his contact - and if there was one guy who I would want walking beside me it would be him.
The irony of the situation is taking his phone of him would be one of the best actions one could take.

He actually likely is happy with all his poor mans gangsta rubbish, i mean he wouldnt be behaving that way is he didnt.

And to add to what you said about pick 10, its even worse when you consider the magic beans we accepted to slip down the draft order to take him as a academy player.

So Bizzare that so many people have the collective view that he is acting like a flog. But he can’t seem to do any self reflection.

Like all Kangas fans and treating woman with respect (think your own Mum/Sister/Niece etc) we cling to a hope that TT can own his behavior and turn this around. The club has stated publicly about 2 courses in place. Privately when he cocked up last year he surely would have been placed on a course then also and his management put on notice. Viney and the female management should not let him near the club for at least the next month and give him one last chance. Personally I would show him the door and spend more money on the likes of Goater, Powell, Curtis etc. I wonder if the player group was surveyed how many would still want him in the club??

surely we have the new updated program in place soon

and once that is in place he can come back to the club and vfl instead of being paid to be on holidays
Updated program? What would that even look like? Attach an electric collar to him and zap him overtime he does the wrong thing?

The changes he needs to make are incredibly simple. If he can't figure it out, or perhaps can't be arsed following through, from what he was already then I don't think changing it up will affect anything.

That said, I wonder how he would respond if the club said he had to work in a female dominated industry for a month.

Who knows but that was what the club has said it’s working out now

If it comes to that i hope he doesn't get a cent. A 1 million dollar payout just reinforces his behaviour because he'll continue to think he's untouchable. Could get the payout, coast for a year, play reserves for a year, and then get picked up by another team for nothing. Zero lesson's learned and the only one that gets screwed is North.
