My mail is that Williams and Co were working on getting him to Port th whole time so nothing would surprise me with TT. I wonder if the AFL would deregister him if that were case?
I can't imagine him in adelaide, SA is a hole and not the lifestyle that this bloke clearly craves. Plus he has no family there.

Let's not skip over this too quickly. One of the best sources on this board believes that a player manager has attempted to get two high profile highly talented high draft picks to Port Adelaide twice in two years from the same club. Never mind the idea that the one to get JHF to PA was planned pre draft and 18mo out
I'm pretty sure Scotty was only referring to JHF not TT. At least the TT bit is speculation.

Anyway there is a Commission for Integrity ion Australian Sport or some name like that and they investigate shit like this so get onto them.

clarko said in his opening adddress the the players its about creating a side that hasd players that were september ready, this guy clearly doesnt fit that description. quicker we move him on the quicker we will have another player on the list developing with the correct attitude, iam sure there are plenty of nightclubs that would take the faux gangster,

North Melbourne player Tarryn Thomas to fight threaten to distribute revenge pr0n charge

www.heraldsun.com.au

Troubled North Melbourne midfielder Tarryn Thomas is planning to fight the allegation he threatened to distribute revenge pr0n.

The AFL young gun fronted the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday after he was charged with a single count of threatening to distribute an intimate image in January.

The 22-year-old was charged with the offence following a police investigation spanning three months.

His defence lawyer told the court the matter would be proceeding to a contest mention in July.

But no details of the alleged crime were aired during the first mention, with Magistrate Abigail Burchill also refusing to release the charge sheet to the media.

“It would misrepresent the charge … by releasing (it) now,” she said.

“I am of the belief it will inaccurately depict what is ultimately pleaded guilty to or not guilty to.”

Thomas, flanked by his lawyer and supporters, refused to comment when leaving the suburban court.

His court appearance comes only days after the 2018 draft pick was stood down from the North Melbourne Football Club indefinitely, after he failed to make “sufficient progress” in behavioural training.

New allegations against Thomas were revealed last week, with the club and AFL Integrity Unit investigating whether they are linked to previous complaints regarding alleged threatening and intimidating behaviour towards women.

While stood down, he will not be considered for selection for the Kangaroos at any level and will remain away from the club.

In a statement on Friday morning, the club said Thomas – who had been stood down previously when allegations were first revealed by the Herald Sun early this year – needed to address issues of “accountability, remorse and behaviour change”.

North Melbourne football manager Todd Viney said Thomas still had some “work to do” to meet the club’s expectations.

“This is a serious concern for the game. The main part we want to get right is respect and responsibility to women,” Viney said.

“We have seen some improvement around the understanding and accountability around the things which have been put in place, but unfortunately it is still not quite at the level (required).

“Second to that, we are aware of the new allegations. This is a serious concern to us again.”

North Melbourne could face a payout of up to $1m if it cuts ties with the player.

If the matter does not resolve at the next court date, it could be listed for a contest hearing where witnesses may be cross-examined before a ruling is made by the magistrate.
He will next front court on July 18.

Has he got an entourage now?

I agree, I can't see him ever successfully returning to the fold. You can see how tightknit the current group is by how they got together to exuberantly celebrate on the ground and with the fans after the win against Freo, then return to the sheds with CZ almost exploding with pride and happiness, singing the song with gusto followed by another hugging session to show their appreciation for each other for the effort that was put in to pull the win over the line. All these players are invested in each other and the club and they have bought into Clarko's programme and the new culture. TT doesn't fit in with the new North and has burnt too many bridges to be part of that now and would only serve as an unwanted distraction. His mentality won't allow him to sacrifice enough to become the player he could be. The club first mentality is not part of TT's DNA. I believe the story about several players having gone to management to say they don't want anything to do with him anymore and there will be increasingly more, which will make him an outcast. Clarko won't risk the group dynamics and I therefore also think he is truly done at North.
To summarise, boys are on the bus, TT isn't.

TT's trip to SA to support Judas (who snubbed him)...... but Kochie gave him his "how to get out of your north contract playbook"????

I have no clue, about sooo many things, infact I reckon I am getting dumber by the day, at least by percentage, but I reckon he's looking for a get out clause to get himself into a barrel and smuggled over the border to be with Cornfrancis.
Suspect so also. Extremely unethical. How can the club/afl police that. Private investigator?

Isn't it their job mainly to clear aussie sporting heros of any performance enhancing substance accusations?

Is there anyone else that Williams guy has on his books that's on our playing list?
No. It was just JHF and TT.

Not a big agency. You can tell by his LinkedIn that connects to the wrong website. A website that was created in a couple of mins on wix and doesn't link correctly.

Ben reps: JHF, Heeney, TT, Bruce, Logan McDonald, O'Driscoll, Redman, Ah Chee, Rampe, Wanganeen-Milera, Bullen, Weideman, Gulden, Thilthorpe and a few recent lower draft picks

Some decent money spinners in there for him.

Can someone explain to me why we would have to pay him anything if he is found guilty which leads to him having a criminal record? Surely there would be a contract clause that protects the club, any club, from such situations where a player has broken the law, been convicted in court and sentenced.

According to the Code of Conduct, even if a contract is terminated for serious breach, there is a clause that stipulates that the club only get to keep 50% of the money due the player and the other 50% is required to be given to charity:

Monetary Forfeitures
Where an AFL Player forfeits monetary amounts for breach of this Code, the amount of the monetary forfeiture shall be distributed as follows:
• 50 per cent to be retained by the relevant AFL Club;
• 50 per cent to be paid to a registered charity nominated by the AFLPA.

good find, thanks - I'd be happy to give half his money to a women's refuge

Only issue is that is preceded by this section of the Code:

Behaviour
AFL Players must at all times behave in a sportsmanlike manner and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct so as not to compromise the integrity and dignity of AFL Football, the AFL, AFL Clubs, the AFLPA and other AFL Players.

Where an AFL Player commits a significant or serious breach, the AFL Player shall forfeit:
  • 1st breach Forfeiture of up to $5,000
  • 2nd breach Forfeiture of up to $10,000

So the Code of Conduct does not include details of what happens in the event of a third breach or the justification required for breaking a contract on behavioural or criminal grounds.

Cheers.
So it wouldn't be a million dollar payout to TT, it would be a million dollar payout to a charity and TT gets nothing. That makes more sense.
Is The Huddle considered a charity? Could allow us to pour that money back into the club.

Ah, ok. So the code might not apply for the case of termination on criminal grounds. Would be good to understand what happens in that case, because it could be a possible outcome of all this.

surely we have the new updated program in place soon

and once that is in place he can come back to the club and vfl instead of being paid to be on holidays
Doubt there will be a new program- the guy isn’t interested.

Should drop him in the nearest prison for a week - might be the wake-up call he needs

Good find, but how ridiculous is that requirement? It is the club's money for which they then get no benefit if it is paid to a charity. Why should the AFLPA get any say? If he is found guilty in July and terminated in say August, that is this season and $700k already gone for zero benefit to the club, but North would then still be forced to forego another $350-400k after that. That's crazy, particularly as it might also count against the salary cap.
