Here is my goss re TT. Just told that Essendon and GC are both sniffing around for the right deal but want us to cover some of his $$$s. I'm also told he isn't 100% committed to leaving. Also told the club is 'open minded' if the deal is right. We all know that he is one more trip-up from finishing his career. He is a very lucky lad to have survived based on what I am told. The fact is he is as good as we have - hope we keep him but we have to accept there is a risk to keeping him. I can see positives both ways. But if he leaves I would be pi55ed if we pay a chunk of his $$$$s.

Reported by a bloke who played in the vfl side in the game and 100% confirmed the story.

But all good, some family relative posted a photo of a signed guernsey so didn’t happen.

Is that unusual that he left post our final VFL game? The fact a relative posted positively about North is a good sign.

Would be an absolute kick in the guts if he left. Especially after we backed him in and helped him turn his life around.

Need Tarryn to stick around, we can't just become a development club like the Suns where blokes leave after 5 years. Would set back our rebuild, especially as we're losing McKay at the same time.

We only lost 1 year of development in JHF. But going back to the drawing board after putting 5 years into Tarryn and 8 into McKay will hurt. Need to step up and improve on field next year, but bleeding talented players won't help that.
The compensation for McKay will at least hopefully be top notch. But I don't think we'd get what Tarryn is worth, especially if we're forced to deal with the Dodo

Better off holding to his contract as we'd likely get a top 5 pick at Band 1 compo end of next year anyway than say pick 8 from Bombres or perhaps a match and trade even more if he has an AA year. The GC pick 4 would make you think about it if he doesn't want to stay.
I think we will hear his name all trade period to be honest being linked to every club as it's a pretty easy story to go to.
