The club needs to back itself in here . If he was to leave this year it only pushes the rebuild further back (with McKay likely gone).

Agree.

if he leaves the biggest thing we would lose is time.

between what we currently have and what we will get through the draft we would be able to cover his loss.

however that coverage will not be primed for the same potential output in the short term.

Using Brad Scott to get himself a better contract at North would be pretty dam funny honestly.
After speaking to Bard Tarryn's request will be like a hostage negotiation demand they always request a couple of normal things and something bizarre,
'I want 4 X $900K, a house in Kew and a Black Hawk helicopter filled with Skittles'

Wait… is that an option? 😮

Piss off Bard. TT is ours.

I hope it ends up with Clarko giving him the “you’ll never get this”

The narrative that if you do something wrong it haunts you forever is so tiring. Look at Dusty early on on his career and even Degoey. People can actually pull their head in and mature if they’re allowed to.

Take the risk and give him what he wants I say. He’s not worth any pick imo, he’s elite.

Put a ****ing clause in his contract (if there isn’t one already), doesn’t matter, just make it happen.

Its hard to have an opinion on what we should do because there's shades of grey.

If he's just looking around and mildly interested in leaving then I would keep him, even if a top 10 pick is on offer.

If he's completely done with North and checked out then I would trade him. That could quickly derail next season if we force him to stay.

It is probably somewhere in between those extremes.

Yes, but remember that one day he break his cage, and he get it MANY TIMES

Hopefully he's smart enough to realise where his bread is buttered and not to get sucked into being used by his manager and the media as a publicity tool. However his priors don't exactly fill me with confidence in this regard.

If he's completley done he would have requested a trade at his exit interview.

The ball's in Tarryn's court.

Stay out of trouble over the off season when you're away from the club environment Come back fit enough to train and not be running laps while the rest of the squad is trying to implement a game style.

I'm sure a fat new contract will be on the table then.

This could be his "Dusty 2013" moment.

Go out and have a look, and come back if/when your prepared to absolutely invest in what we're doing. No more bullshit.

He obviously doesn't want to leave or he'd request a trade after hearing this... This could be a play by the list managers to put a little fear in him that hes not wanted and then bring him back in to prove himself.

That's what Im hoping....

Channel Essendon pushing it hard.

Whatever comes of it, it has shut down the criticisms of Dodoro that were gaining traction.

Now he's mastermind who is going to take poor old Norf's best players for peanuts!!!

Yep, good call.

Busy year for Brad. Starts off with him screwing the club he previously coached out of decent assistance and now less than 12 months on, trying to poach one our most talented and contracted players. But of course, there has never been a conflict of interest anywhere.... quick let's go back to discussing how much NM are ruining the integrity of the draft!!!

If he was a good operator, right before handing in his resignation at AFL house last year, he would have signed off on a couple of future 1st round PPs for * that they could trade to us now!

Players are to scared to ask for a trade - they get their managers to do it.

You know what I mean, Tyler Brockman and Liam Henry didn't waste any time.
