Richmond will take him and claim they’re rehabbing his behaviour and come out the heroes. Done it with a number of players.

Here’s a conspiracy theory for ya, Eddie tells his son the story trying to derail his career at North, then the pies pick him up for **** all and he dominates.

This is a joke if anyone from another board is reading btw.

Being someone who works in complaints i can not believe that the person who the complaint has been made about hasn't been protected. There is no way that the media should have been notified of this complaint.

I would assume that all AFL staff sign an agreement that all information that they become aware of is confidential.

The fact that the players name and meeting details are known shows someone is talking.

1000%. It’s disgraceful

My thoughts exactly. The AFL provide anonymity for drugs violations and even allow for anonymous self reporting so that players can avoid consequences, but for something as serious, damaging and embarrassing as for now still unsubstantiated DV allegations, the name gets leaked with the resultant shitstorm descending on TT and the North Melbourne footy club as we speak. TT has already been found guilty in the social media world. You'd think the AFL might have learnt a thing or two from the Hawthorn racism allegations fiasco.

They have postponed the hearing to next week. AFL tried to push this through so quick TT couldn't organise his legal reps to attend.

Good to see they've learned the hard fought lessons of the Hawthorn debacle.

Hearing? Is this something that they're making a genuine employment decision on?

If that's the case, it's really inexcusable that it's been handled the way it has so far. Not only the leak to nepo children in the media, but to cause outrage with the 'tomorrow' tag only to go 'oh wait no, we've jumped the gun a bit here.'

* me
They termed it an "interview", but for all intents and purposes, it's a hearing IMO.

Any complaint and follow up process that could potentially lead to the ending of a career they want to push through fast cos otherwise their 'process' will be picked apart.

Wonder if they'll ever get around to releasing their report into the governance of Hawthorn's investigation

Here’s a conspiracy theory, someone’s handed the nepo baby a story knowing he’d run with it before checking facts..
nice way to burn someone’s career.

Gotcha. Though having to attend a meeting with your employer with legal representation by your side is a bit of a joke in itself. Thought all of this would be the police's job

It would have to be the AFL. The complainant should only receive an acknowledgement that their complaint has been received.
Doesn't mean the complainant hasn't tipped off the media - I don't know but it isn't out of the question.

Would definitely be possible for the complainant to leak that they’ve reported the issue and the contents of same.

AFL "integrity" unit.

I can see it now. The perfect storm.
Takes the heat off the AFL’s first born MFC and Oliver.
Provides a year of suspicion about TT going interstate to escape the AFL bubble.
Bard and * comes in swoops on TT.

We don't know who leaked the story. May have been the complainant. May have been the AFL. We don't know.
Either someone high up in the AFL is getting a kick back from the media to leak the story or it is the complainant making sure they get "justice". Can't see why the AFL would intentionally leak it.
