Yeah, interestingly, it was when he made clear he's happy being a coked out knobhead who does stupid "anti woke" podcasts and cashies I said enough.

He'd previously said after one of his 600 billion life stuff ups that he was going to explore his indigenous heritage and I thought hello, here it is, the biggest boy of them all is going to grow up and try and process the horrific trauma of his own childhood, where he encountered vile racism as well as off the charts domestic abuse.

But he chose not to do that - and look, given the horror of what happened to him I'm not going to shitcan him for not wanting to go back and deal with that stuff.

But I'm over making excuses for him too.

The club has a responsibility to Tarryn to stick by him as long as we can, so he doesn't become a fairly tragic figure later in life like Duck.

(It would also be nice for Tarryn to win us some finals off his own boot)

I have no problem with discussion around the issue, I just see that more and more threads lately are being hijacked by political and social issues.

It might surprise you, but some people only come here to read about the North Melbourne Football Club and what is happening at the club.

I get Thomas being indigenous has a link to some of these issues, but some people just see it as an opportunity to want to push social agendas.

Absolutely true, I remember that. I wouldn't even be surprised if Aaron Hall copped so much criticism on this board due to racism. He was an exciting player and often one of North Melbourne's best player, but if he missed a few kicks then he got completely bashed on here. The level of hatred compared to his performance (especially compared to his teammates) was so far off the charts. =

Maybe. Although Shaun Atley used to cop the same shit about poor disposal when his overall efficiency sat around 80%.

thread has been rewritten but that'd be a lie.

Somehow past criticism of his attitude, actions or endeavours have been merged in with how opposition fans feel about him, how the media has portrayed him and the recent vote. So if you've dared criticise anything in the three Thomas threads you are all the bad things mixed together and if you disagree it's "you wouldn't understand, it's the deep seeded racism inside of you"

It's crazy that Thomas now has a get out of jail free card in this thread moving forward. There will be bigfooty posters in here and at games too scared to say anything negative about Thomas now.

By all means call out things when you see fit but this painting of a decent sized portion of our supporter base with the same brush is quite astonishing. Hopefully all of this stuff isn't whispered into Thomas' ears because he will feel invincible. Any negative thing he does can be explained away and he will have a section of our supporter base running aggressive defence and deflecting.

Dane Swan. ******* s**t trainer. Never worked hard enough nor was he ever in club top 10’s.. there are genuine talents that dont need to work as hard to be A grade.

Maybe Tarryn is happy to be an elite player without all the hard work? Mayve he doesn’t want to be the beat because of attention and media? Maybe he is just a young fella with no ******* idea on how to handle his money?

BTW this team has some huge holes in it obviously … my brother thinks we should have given Ziebs another year just for the 10-12 his battered body but leadership would have offered.
The big difference is while we are gonna struggle defensively this year… like the last couple … at least we are going to get a heap of **** me moments with the new class of the young uns. We’re going to pinch some with Sheez and The Warlord and a few others doing the heavy lifting which will have us ****ing rocking in the stands bring it on!
