When Tarryn turned the corner

No one in the league would have a better highlight real for the last month or so. His last month has been extraordinary. Averaging 18 possessions, 1.75 goals, 3 tackles, 6.25 inside 50s, 3.5 clearances, 6.75 contested possessions, and a goal assist per game. If he can continue to build his tank and strength over the next two pre-seasons he will be a beastby season 23. Has the potential to be a midfielder that kicks 35 plus goals in a season.

I'm sure when Zurhaar and Larkey look up and see TT with the ball, they lead that little bit harder knowing the delivery will be outstanding.

Send the highlight package to Harry McKay!
Just noticed a bit of synergy with LDU in there too, if those two get going we’ll be fine.. laughing in fact.

It's the most impressive 4 game highlights package that I can remember a North player producing. Guy is a genuine freak.
If he stays fit and focused, he'll be an all time great; has the capacity to simplify complex situations, the definition of football genius...oh, and credit to the coaching group for getting him into the guts

His last month when his CBA's really increased:
15 Disposals 2 Goals
18 Disposals 1 Goal
21 Disposals 2 Goals
17 Disposals 2 Goals

Was considered miles behind the rest of the first round in the 2018 draft class & could become a top 3 player in that draft.

RE; your table of the 21 year olds, of course Walsh is quality, but I don't see him doing the things that Tarryn is now reeling out

It will be one of those discussions of would you prefer to have a Walsh getting 30 possessions per week or Thomas getting 22 but hitting the scoreboard far more often. Another month of his current form and he is rocketing up the best of his draft rankings.

spot on, accumulator from contest to contest vs the artist; good teams will have them both

I think we are getting to a spot where it is no way obvious as to who will be the best North mid over the next 5 years or so. Any of Jy, LDU, TT, Stepho, Powell, Phillipps, and (based on the buzz) Horne could stake a claim for that title. A great mix of accumulation, power, and artistry in that 7. If I were to add one more it would be the 6'3 plus 95kg bull as a successor to Cunners.

When Tarryn turned the corner

Uncontroversially pushing him in to the midfield for centre bounces has been a great success. Do you think they'll continue tinkering with TT behind the ball like they did in pre season and from memory some moments in the early rounds? My thoughts now are that that might only be a tag-breaking ploy when that moment in his career arrives given how damaging he has been as a midfield playmaker. I hadn't anticipated this much success in the midfield at this early stage in his career and thought minutes behind the ball was maybe a tactic to get him to distribute if our transition wasn't working well.

Not saying that at all. TT did seem a little lost under Shaw though.

.............and Ben McKay blossomed under Shaw.

Bailey Scott has seemed a "little lost" under Noble.

It's meaningless crap. Thread deflection over.

Agree. His current role seems perfect for him.

He’s so instinctive and gifted with sublime skills. Could be anything

He will kick another gear when the young midfielders reach a critical mass and the opposition can't sit on them all.

That’s the key to a premiership imo. If they all work out we’re laughing. LDU, TT, Phillips, Simpkin, Powell, Stephenson and whoever we take this draft (hopefully Horne). Building a serious midfield.

Look what happens when a player overcomes his injury problems.
Has talent to burn and his clearances are top notch.
Glad the Johnny come late guy has caught up - after trying to blaa mural

Why would you want to derail another thread with that tit for tat crap? I’m not sticking up for him because he doesn’t need it, but it’s funny how many people rag on him but he’s constantly copping it with little jabs. It’s exhausting tbh.
