I hope we are, and I imagine we're somewhere between a team in premiership contention (like the Hawks) and CQ Bar. He'd certainly fill the void we've had since Twinkletoes Dwyer departed anyway,

Yes, but if we saw someone do that in the VFL or the TAC cup, we'd be excited about drafting him. He played his early junior footy in Melbourne and then of course is early AFL in Melbourne. He'd be comfortable here and likely to play better than he did at Port. Hopefully his knees are good now as he said, and we have Steve Saunders anyway, which has to help.

Even more importantly, Boomer has said publicly that he wants him - that has to help his state of mind?

I want us to have a seriously look at him, even using a draft pick if we have to. (EDIT: meaning a lower order pick like our 4th or 5th round - not trying to snag him very late or as a rookie or something)

None taken mark, indeed I agree. For someone I took to be one of the smarter footballers, I did a total rethink after hearing him do radio recently. Unless, of course, he's just pandering to the bogan, dig-it-up masses.

And yeah, Bell became captain (admittedly, only Freo) and Barnes got his premiership.
