I saw Merrett had to angrily yell at him a few times for going down the line instead of switching. It might be something they have to keep on him about orelse he falls into old habits

Probably because he’s pretty rigid in sticking to those limitations he has and only wants to go forward if there’s something he knows he can pick off. He often winces and gestures when something doesn’t immediately present itself.

Liked him today, big tick and a nice goal to cap off, has only kicked one other one which was in 2018.

What was noticeable from level 3 was he absolutely busts his arse to become the next option too

One of our best repeat sprinters on a weekly basis according to the tracker.

I don’t really know why people are canning us bringing him in, we needed someone to set an example with effort and hardness and he’s just about the best there is in that regard.

I still think he's severely limited. He tries and all that. Seems like a great kid too (despite shit stain dad). However, for the balance of our side we need him replaced with a taller KPD. Laverde on number 2, tall KPD on number 1 and Ridley on number three. Heppell and Redman rotating through backline and wing and Hind, D'Ambrosio and McGrath playing on smalls and/or attacking.

I personally don't think Laverde, Heppell or Kelly will be part of our backline if we're going to every be close to challenging.

I think Laverde could. Maybe our most underrated player, who punches above his weight.

Many things to like about Saturday's game, although the best part was when both Buckley and Riewoldt spoke about this guy being the guy every footballer wants on their team.

It's almost like great football teams arent made up of 22 superstars...

He may not be in our best 22 if we are contending, but he gives himself every chance because of his discipline and work rate. Coming along very nicely.

I wouldn’t mind throwing him into one or two centre bounces. See what he’s got.
I cannot see him in there.

I rate him heavily in his role but he does sometimes seem like he's running on a slippery hard cricket pitch are while wearing screw-ins. Just not a smooth mover in tight IMO.

Would be happy to be wrong as he is a beast.
